Abstract
In order to support the achievement of strategic objectives and manage the ever- growing challenges, organizations require high performing employees. With the growth of employee performance, a company’s effectiveness and productivity would follow suit. Competence and training are factors that may increase employee performance. Competence can help the organization create a culture of high performance, whereas training that are structured through careful planning will have a direct impact towards employee performance. This research aims to analyze the extent to which competence and training have an effect on PT Adaro Energy Tbk’s employees performance. An associative method of research was used for this study and a multiple linear regression was used to test the hypotheses. The results of this research showed that both competence and training separately had a significant positive impact on performance, and that both competence and training done concurrently had a significant positive impact on employee performance. Keywords: Competency, Training, Performance. Dalam rangka mendukung tujuan strategis dan menghadapi tantangan organisasi yang terus berkembang dibutuhkan karyawan yang memiliki kinerja tinggi. Jika kinerja karyawan meningkat, maka efektivitas dan produktivitas perusahaan juga akan meningkat. Kompetensi dan pelatihan adalah salah satu faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan peningkatan kinerja karyawan. Kompetensi dapat membantu organisasi menciptakan budaya kinerja tinggi sedangkan pelatihan yang disusun melalui tahapan-tahapan pelatihan yang terencana dan terprogram akan berdampak langsung terhadap kinerja karyawan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis sejauh mana pengaruh kompetensi dan pelatihan terhadap kinerja karyawan PT Adaro Energy Tbk. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan adalah asosiatif sedangkan untuk menguji hipotesis penelitian dengan menggunakan regresi linier berganda. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kompetensi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja, pelatihan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja. Jika di uji bersama-sama kompetensi dan pelatihan juga berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan. Kata Kunci : Kompetensi, Pelatihan, Kinerja.
