Abstract

Orthodontics is one of the specialties of dentistry.The most common treatment performed by an orthodontist is to align teeth or repair maloccusions.Malocclusion is a condition in humans where there is an abnormality in the relationship between the teeth and jaw, giving rise to functions that do not work properly. Orthodontists usually need a lot of tools to be able to diagnose patients such as dental x-rays and dental photographs clinically or with complete patient data such as age, jaw arches, crowding, facial profiles, molar tooth linkage conditions, canine tooth connections and others.In this study the authors used the Naïve Bayes method in classifyingwith parameters facial profile, crowding, molar class, spacing, and canine class to analyze the diagnosis of patients with the output / results of the diagnosis there are two namely diagnosis by extraction (tooth extraction) or diagnosis without extraction.The results of this study get an accuracy of 93,578% using WEKA software with 102 datasets.With this research, it is hoped that it will be easier for orthodontists to determine their diagnoses, which will be computerized so as to speed up orthodontist doctors in drawing conclusions about the treatment plan that will be carried out for patients. Key words : Orthodontic, Naïve Bayes, Malocclusion Orthodontic adalah salah satu spesialisasi dari ilmu kedokteran gigi. Perawatan yang umum dilakukan oleh seorang orthodontist adalah meratakan gigi atau memperbaiki malokusi.Maloklusi merupakan keadaan atau kondisi pada manusia dimana terdapat kelainan hubungan antara gigi dan rahang sehingga menimbulkan fungsi yang tidak berkerja semestinya. Dalam pekerjaannya orthodontist biasanya memerlukan banyak alat untuk dapat mendiagnosa pasien seperti rontgen dan foto gigi secara klinik atau dengan data data pasien yang lengkap seperti umur, lengkung rahang, crowding, profil wajah, kondisi hubungan gigi molar, hubungan gigi taring (kaninus) dan lain lain. Pada penelitian ini penulis menggunakan metode Naïve Bayes dalam melakukan klasifikasi dengan parameter profil wajah, crowding, molar class, spacing, dan caninusclassuntuk menganalisa diagnosa pasien dengan keluaran / hasil diagnosa ada dua yaitu diagnosa dengan ekstraksi (pencabutan gigi) atau diagnosa tanpa ekstraksi . Hasil dari penelitian ini mendapatkan accuracy sebesar 93.578 % menggunakan perngkat lunak WEKA dengan 102 dataset. Dengan penilitian ini diharapkan dapat memudahkan para orthodontist dalam menentukan diagnosanya yang dialihkan secara komputerisasi sehingga mempercepat dokter orthodontist dalam mengambil kesimpulan rencana perawatan yang akan dilakukan kepada pasien.
