Abstract

Currently, developments in the culinary field are increasing rapidly, so that many small businesses compete in an innovative and creative way. In terms of developing creative ideas for a food, not a few business actors adapt food from other countries, one of which is quite familiar in Indonesia is food that comes from China, namely dim sum. Various types of dim sum businesses have been found in Indonesia, both on a large and small scale. However, innovative ideas in food development alone are not enough to increase sales value in the culinary business world, other aspects are needed to increase sales value. Brand identity is one of the important aspects needed by the brand. The purpose of this paper is to redesign the logo and visual identity as part of a brand identity that builds awareness, and communicates the uniqueness and quality of products from the SANSAFOODIES brand by redesigning the logo and supporting media needed to help increase sales value. The manufacturing process includes interviews, library research, and similar design references to reach the design test process. The results of the design test obtained in the form of a positive response in the form of constructive suggestions in research and development of the design process. From this design process it can be concluded that this design is sufficient to represent the brand. Keywords: Logo, Redesign, Visual Identity, Food Saat ini perkembangan di bidang kuliner meningkat pesat, sehingga banyak Usaha kecil bersaing dalam suatu inovatif dan kreatif. Dalam hal mengembangkan ide kreatif sebuah makanan, tidak sedikit pelaku usaha yang mengadaptasikan makanan dari negara lain, salah satu yang cukup familiar di Indonesia adalah makanan yang berasal dari Cina, yaitu dim sum. Berbagai jenis usaha dim sum sudah banyak dijumpai di Indonesia, baik di skala yang besar maupun skala kecil. Namun ide inovatif dalam pengembangan makanan saja tidak cukup untuk menaikan nilai penjualan di dunia bisnis kuliner tersebut, diperlukan aspek lainnya untuk meningkatkan nilai penjualan. Identitas brand adalah salah satu aspek penting yang di perlukan oleh brand. Tujuan penulisan ini adalah untuk meredesain logo dan visual identitas sebagaimana bagian dari brand identitas yang membangun kesadaran, dan mengkomunikasikan keunikan dan kualitas produk dari brand SANSAFOODIES dengan membuat redesain logo dan media pendukung yang dibutuhkan untuk membantu meningkatkan nilai penjualan. Proses pembuatan meliputi wawancara, penelitian Pustaka, dan referensi desain sejenis hingga mencapai proses uji desain. Uji desain yang didapatkan adalah respon positif berupa saran dan kritik untuk penelitian dan pengembangan proses karya desain. Dari perancangan ini bisa dikatakan bahwa perancangan ini cukup merepresentasikan brand. Kata Kunci: Logo, Redesain, Visual Identity, Food
