Abstract

Therapeutic communication conducted by health workers is to provide comfort, calm, not panic and be able to relieve the stress experienced by patients, then establish a trusting relationship between medical personnel and patients so that patients can honestly convey complaints related to their illness in detail and help health workers provide interventions until they achieve improved health status and recovery. The purpose of this study is to find out and provide an in-depth overview of the Application of Therapeutic Communication of Medical Personnel in Providing Services and Information on The Treatment of Tuberculosis Patients at RSCK Tzu Chi Cengkareng.How verbal and non-verbal communication, as well as to know the factors that inhibit therapeutic communication activities between medical personnel and patients. This research uses a case study research method that captures data sources using observation techniques and purpose sampling that is with the type of in-depth interviews to key informants and informants as well as secondary data obtained from library studies. The validity of the data tested with triangulation techniques. Research subjects of doctors, nurses and patients. This research uses a paradigm of constructivism, a qualitative and descriptive approach. Data collection methods include in-depth interviews, observations and documentation studies. The results obtained in this study show that the therapeutic communication conducted by medics Poli DOTS RSCK Tzu Chi has been good consisting of four phases/ stages, namely the pre-interaction phase, orientation phase, working phase, and termination phase. This is seen from the fulfillment of aspects of activities, stages, strategies, objectives, application of techniques, and good therapeutic communication between medical personnel and patients. Verbal and nonverbal interactions between medical personnel and patients are important in therapeutic communication. Keywords: Therapeutic Communication, Public Relations and Tuberculosis. Komunikasi Terapeutik yang dilakukan oleh tenaga kesehatan adalah untuk memberikan rasa nyaman, tenang, tidak panik dan mampu menghilangkan stress yang dialami pasien, kemudian terbangun hubungan saling percaya antara tenaga medis dan pasien sehingga pasien dapat jujur menyampaikan keluhan-keluhan yang berhubungan dengan penyakitnya secara detail serta membantu tenaga kesehatan memberikan intervensi hingga mencapai peningkatan status kesehatan dan kesembuhan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan memberikan gambaran mendalam tentang Penerapan Komunikasi Terapeutik Tenaga Medis Dalam Memberikan Pelayanan dan Informasi Pengobatan Pasien TBC di RSCK Tzu Chi Cengkareng. Bagaimana komunikasi verbal dan non verbalnya, serta untuk mengetahui faktor yang menghambat kegiatan komunikasi terapeutik antara tenaga medis dan pasien. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian studi kasus yang pengambilan sumber data menggunakan teknik observasi dan purpose sampling yaitu dengan jenis wawancara secara mendalam kepada key informan dan informan serta data sekunder yang diperoleh dari studi pustaka. Keabsahan data yang diuji dengan teknik triangulasi. Subjek penelitian dokter, perawat dan pasien. Penelitian ini menggunakan paradigma konstruktivisme, pendekatan kualitatif dan bersifat deskriptif. Metode pengumpulan data yaitu wawancara mendalam, pengamatan dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil yang diperoleh pada penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa komunikasi terapeutik yang dilakukan oleh tenaga medis Poli DOTS RSCK Tzu Chi sudah baik yang terdiri dari empat fase/tahap, yaitu fase pra interaksi, fase orientasi, fase kerja, dan fase terminasi. Hal ini terlihat dari terpenuhinya aspek aktivitas, tahapan, strategi, tujuan, penerapan teknik-teknik, dan komunikasi terapeutik dengan baik antara tenaga medis dan pasien. Interaksi verbal dan nonverbal antara tenaga medis dan pasien merupakan hal yang penting dalam komunikasi terapeutik. Kata Kunci: Komunikasi Terapeutik, Public Relations dan TBC
