Abstract

Mali Alor Airport is an airstrip used for landing and aircraft takeoffs, passengers, and cargo and post loading and loading, as well as equipped with aviation safety facilities and as a place of intermodal shifts. Alor Airport is expected to be a supporting infrastructure for local activities, namely the tourism sector which is a government effort in developing the economy on Alor Island. In the design of the airport Alor brings a concept that combines the functions of the airport with the cultural values that exist in Alor. With a plan that implements local identity, it also applies energy-saving concepts to buildings, which are expected to provide comfort and also represent the identity of the Alor region, and become a building that survives and functions over time, consistent with its concept that integrates with nature without changes which is significant without damaging the natural surroundings. Keywords: Alor, Airport, Traditional Bandar Udara Mali Alor adalah lapangan terbang yang dipergunakan untuk mendarat dan lepas landas pesawat udara, naik turun penumpang, dan bongkar muat kargo dan pos, serta dilengkapi dengan fasilitas keselamatan penerbangan dan sebagai tempat perpindahan antar moda. Bandar Udara Alor ini diharapkan dapat menjadi prasarana penunjang kegiatan lokal, yaitu pada sektor pariwisata yang merupakan usaha pemerintah dalam mengembangkan perkonomian di Pulau Alor. Dalam perancangan Bandar Udara Alor mengusung konsep yang menggabungkan fungsi Bandar Udara dengan nilai-nilai budaya yang ada di Alor. Dengan perencanaan yang menerapkan identitas lokal, juga menerapkan konsep hemat energi pada bangunan, yang diharapkan dapat memberikan kenyamanan dan juga mewakili identitas kawasan Alor, dan menjadi bangunan yang tetap bertahan dan berfungsi seiring zaman, konsisten terhadap konsepnya yang menyatu dengan alam tanpa adanya perubahan-perubuhan yang signifikan tanpa merusak alam sekitar.
