Abstract

Script writer is the person in charge of making a manuscript. The author not only creates stories, but the choice of material will make a pleasant adventure experience or a painful journey. Script writers are very active in the pre- production stage, especially in determining the ideas, themes and characterization of players. Then, organizing the idea into a basic story and synopsis. After the synopsis was made, the screenwriter made the arrangement by compiling all the events into a sketch. Therefore, the writing of the script in the production of the film "Pilih’an". Pilih’an is a short comedy drama film that tells the story of a couple of Ben and Ana who forgot to lock the door until their house conquered three robbers and the robber found a barber and gave Ben the choice of choosing his wife's life. Design study focuses on the part of a screenwriter who is able to make a short film script professionally based on the stages that must be passed in making a script. Based on the script writing design study, it can be concluded that: Select film is a work that relies on emotional development, seeking information from various sources helps in writing the script, and requires teamwork in making a film, presenting information through audio visual. Keywords: Manuscript writing, short comedy drama, pilih’an Penulis Naskah adalah orang yang bertugas membuat sebuah Naskah. Penulis tidak hanya menciptakan cerita, tapi pilihan materi akan membuat pengalaman petualangan yang menyenangkan atau perjalanan yang menyakitkan. Penulis Naskah sangat aktif dalam tahap pra-produksi khususnya dalam menentukan ide, tema dan karakterisasi pemain. Lalu, mengorganisir ide tersebut menjadi sebuah basic story dan sinopsis. Setelah sinopsis dibuat, penulis naskah melakukan penataan dengan menyusun semua kejadian menjadi sebuah sketsa Karena itu, penulisan naskah pada produksi film “Pilih’an”. Pilih’an merupakan film pendek bergenre drama komedi yang menceritakan tentang pasangan suami istri Ben dan Ana yang lupa mengunci pintu hingga rumah mereka kemasukan tiga perampok dan perampk tersebut menemukan sebuah berangkas dan memberikanpilihan kepada Ben memilih harta nyawa istrinya. Studi perancangan ini memfokuskan pada bagian seorang penulis naskah mampu membuat naskah sebuah film pendek secara professional yaitu berdasarkan tahapan-tahapan yang harus dilalui dalam membuat naskah. Berdasarkan studi perancangan penulisan naskah dapat disimpulkan bahwa: film Pilih’an merupakan sebuah karya yang bergantung pada pengmbangan emosional, mencari informasi dari berbagai sumber membantu dalam penulisan naskah, dan dibutuhkan kerja sama tim dalam pembuatan sebuah film, menyajikan informasi melalui audio visual.
