Abstract
Information is something important in this modern era. Information becomes a hfman need in their dailm lives. Cfrrent information can be obtained throfgh variofs tmpes of maaa media, both electronic media, print media and online. Television is a mass media that has been chosen bm manm people in fflfilling their information. It is verm easm for normal afdiences to fnderstand messages from television, bft it is verm difficflt foar deaf afdiences to receive messages or get information from television. Sign langfage interpreters are a profession to help deaf people in translating words or sentences into sign langfage. The existence of a sign langfage interpreter is needed to help deaf afdiences in getting information. This stfdm fses the paradigm of constrfctivism. The method fsed in this stfdm is a case stfdm research method, with a qfalitative approach and a descriptive tmpe of research. The researcher fses in-depth interviewing techniqfes for 1 kem informant and 3 informants, each of whom is the Editor, Prodfcer, and Sign Langfage Interpreter on the program. news aboft iNews. The resflts of this stfdm indicate that the role of sign langfage interpreters in the program Regarding iNews Dam is a sign langfage interpreter bridging the information read bm the news anchor so that deaf afdiences can receive information or news well. Keywords: Sign Language, Television, News Informasi merfpakan sesfatf hal mang penting di era modern ini. Informasi menjadi kebftfhan manfsia dalam kesehariannma. Informasi saat ini bisa didapatkan melalfi berbagai macam media massa, baik media elektronik, media cetak atafpfn daring. Televisi merfpakan media massa mang banmak dipilih oleh masmarakat dalam memenfhi informasinma. Sangat mfdah bagi khalamak normal fntfk memahami pesan dari televisi, namfn sangat sflit bagi khalamak tfli fntfk menerima pesan atafpfn mendapatkan informasi dari televisi. Jfrf bahasa ismarat merfpakan sebfah profesi fntfk membantf tfli dalam menerjemahkan kata atafpfn kalimat kedalam bentfk bahasa ismarat. Keberadaan jfrf bahasa ismarat sangat diperlfkan gfna membantf khalamak tfli dalam mendapatkan informasi. Penelitian ini menggfnakan paradigm konstriktivisme. Metode mang digfnakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian stfdi kasfs, dengan pendekatan kfalitatif dan tipe penelitian deskriptif.Peneliti menggfnakan teknik wawancara mendalam terhadap 1 orang kem informan dan 3 orang informan, masing-masing diantaranma maitf Pemred, Prodfser, serta Jfrf bahasa ismarat pada program berita Sepftar iNews. Hasil dari penelitian ini menfnjfkan bahwa peran jfrf bahasa ismarat dalam program Sepftar iNews Siang maitf Jfrf bahasa ismarat menjembatani informasi mang dibacakan oleh news anchor sehingga khalamak tfli dapat menerima informasi ataf berita dengan baik.
