Abstract
In the era of globalization, the key to improving the competitiveness of a company is the quality. Only companies that are able to produce goods or services that are world-class quality to win the global competition and wellmanaged company that will survive. Here does not mean the quality of goods and services produced, but also quality in all matters relating to products, services, human resources, processes and the environment. In a company to achieve quality, all employees must be involved in it, from top management to the bottom. PT.Torabika Eka Semesta is a manufacturing company engaged in the food industry. One product that is T.Cappuccino, T.Susu Full Cream and T.Duo. In an effort to support the quality policy PT.TES particularly in the production process, namely by reducing downtime due to technical malfunctions (technical breakdown) on the wrapping machine. Technical breakdown divided into two, namely mechanical breakdown and electrical breakdown. Based on available data from preliminary research, one of the largest contributors to waste is downtime due to pieces of packaging that are not standard in which it is included into electrical breakdown. Waste generated as a result of pieces that do not have very high standards, sometimes to cause both internal and external complaints. Therefore, it is necessary for an improvement by implementing the PDCA cycle system, namely with an improved method of Quality Control Circle (QCC). The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that cause downtime pieces are not standard on the product packaging is very high by using Quality Control Circle (QCC).
