Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out whether there is a relationship between alexithymia and college adjustment for new students at “X” University in 2018 periode. The method used in this research is quantitative research with data collection techniques using a questionnaire. The population in this study were new students who took a bachelor's degree at “X” University in 2018 periode with a sample of 343 respondents. Data analysis techniques using Pearson product moment correlation test using the variable Alexithymia (X) and Relationship with College Adjustment (Y) for “X” University new students in 2018 periode. With a correlation value of 0.981 with Sig. tailed 0,000 <0.05. Keywords: Alexithymia, College Adjustment Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui adakah hubungan antara alexithymia dengan college adjustment pada mahasiswa baru Universitas “X” tahun 2018. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data yaitu menggunakan kuesioner. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa baru yang menempuh Strata 1 Universitas “X” tahun 2018 dengan sampel 343 responden. Teknik analisa data menggunakan uji korelasi product moment pearson dengan menggunakan variabel Alexithymia (X) dan Hubungan dengan College Adjustment (Y) mahasiswa baru Universitas “X” tahun 2018. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara Alexithymia dengan College Adjustment pada mahasiswa baru Universitas “X” tahun 2018 dengan nilai korelasi sebesar 0,981 dengan Sig. tailed 0,000 < 0,05.
