Abstract
Every production process is inseparable from downtime which disrupts the smooth production process where this happens at PT ZYN on the SP 24 machine. This study aims to increase the effectiveness of the machine by reducing downtime through the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) approach. In the OEE ratio, it can be identified and made improvements to the dominant losses factor obtained from the calculation of the six big losses. From the results of the study, it was found that the 3 biggest loss factors for the SP 24 machine were change (replacement) jumbo roll, wrap mc set: wrapping (wrapping machine settings), and main mc set: finger (finger settings). These three factors are setup & adjustment losses items which are then repaired to increase the effectiveness of the SP 24 machine. The result is the OEE value from an average of 51.17% to 64.95% and reaches the optimal value of the effectiveness of the machine of 69.61 %. The increase in OEE value is influenced by the increase in each OEE ratio, namely the availability ratio from 66.47% to 74.73%, performance efficiency from 83.70% to 92.52%, and rate of quality from 91.97% to 93.94%. This increase was due to a decrease in machine downtime from an average of 11784 minutes to 9505 minutes so that production processes and achievements can run more optimally. Keywords: Downtime, OEE, Six Big Losses, Total Productive Maintenance Setiap proses produksi tidak terlepas dari downtime (waktu henti) yang mengganggu kelancaran proses produksi dimana hal ini terjadi di PT ZYN pada mesin SP 24. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan efektivitas mesin dengan cara menurunkan downtime melalui metode pendekatan Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). Pada rasio OEE dapat diidentifikasi dan dilakukan perbaikan terhadap faktor losses yang dominan diperoleh dari perhitungan six big losses. Dari hasil penelitian, ditemukan 3 faktor losses terbesar mesin SP 24 yaitu change (penggantian) jumbo roll, wrap mc set: wrapping (penyetingan mesin wrapping), dan main mc set: finger (penyetingan finger). Ketiga faktor tersebut merupakan item setup & adjustment losses yang kemudian dilakukan perbaikan untuk meningkatkan efektivitas mesin SP 24. Adapun hasilnya adalah nilai OEE dari rata-rata 51,17% menjadi 64,95% dan mencapai nilai optimal dari efektivitas mesin tersebut sebesar 69,61%. Meningkatnya nilai OEE dipengaruhi dari kenaikan masing-masing rasio OEE yaitu rasio availability dari 66,47% menjadi 74,73%, performance efficiency dari 83,70% menjadi 92,52% dan rate of quality dari 91,97% menjadi 93,94%. Kenaikan ini disebabkan faktor menurunnya downtime mesin dari rata-rata 11784 menit menjadi 9505 menit sehingga proses dan pencapaian produksi dapat berjalan lebih maksimal.
