Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi komunikasi di dunia semakin berkembang pesat. Pada saat ini, khususnya di Indonesia penggunaan satelit dalam teknologi komunikasi semakin dikembangkan. Satelit itu sendiri merupakan suatu benda yang beredar di ruang antariksa dan mengelilingi bumi. Satelit ini tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai penerima stasiun radio, tetapi juga berfungsi untuk memproses dan memancarkan kembali sinyal komunikasi radio. Bagi pelaku usaha dibidang satelit tentunya persaingan antar operator baik dalam maupun luar negeri semakin meninggkat. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini akan membahas Studi Kelayakan Implementasi Bisnis Satelit Berteknologi HTS (High Throughput Satellite) di Indonesia. Hal ini dilakukan untuk melihat apakah pembangunan satelit HTS di Indonesia menguntungkan atau tidak bagi pelaku bisnis (kelayakan ekonomi). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode tekno ekonomi dengan dua skenario, most likely dan optimistic. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pada kondisi most likely nilai NPV yang didapat adalah $781,999.000, dengan IRR 27% dan Payback Period 1 tahun 6 bulan. Sedangkan pada kondisi optimistic nilai NPV yang didapat adalah $829,948.000, dengan IRR 32% dan Payback Period 1 tahun. Berdasarkan parameter tersebut dapat dilihat bahwa investasi tersebut layak untuk dilanjutkan. At this time, especially in Indonesia, the use of satellites in communication technology is increasingly being developed. The satellite itself is an object that circulates in space and surrounds the earth. The functions of satellite not only as a radio station receiver, but also has functions to process and retransmitting radio communication signals. For a company which has a focus on the field of satellite, of course competition between operator, not only inside of this country but also abroad, is increasingly rising. Therefore, in this research will discuss the Feasibility Study of the Implementation of the HTS (High Throughput Satellite) Technology Business in Indonesia. This is done to see whether the development of HTS satellite in Indonesia is profitable or not for telecomunication company (economic feasibility). This research uses a techno-economic method with two scenarios, most likely and optimistic. The results showed that in the most likely scenario, the NPV value obtained was $742,703.107, with IRR 26% and Payback Period 1 year 7 months. Whereas in optimistic scenario, the NPV value obtained is $781,613.440, with IRR 27% and Payback Period 1 year. Based on these parameters it can be seen that the investment is feasible to proceed.
