Abstract

This research focuses on anxiety differentiation between male and female students in regular 2 psychologies major who are in their final year in Mercu Buana University with total samples of 77 students. The Simple Random Sampling is the method used on this research, with Explanatory Survey (questioner) approach. Holmes anxiety is used as the basis for the data capturing method as for the analysis technique used for this research is Independent Sample T-Test. The result shows that value of t = -1.759 and p = 0.083 > 0,05, meaning there is no significant differentiation on male and female students anxiety level in facing their final year. Female students scored higher than the male students with score of 43.08, while male students scored 39.68. Keyword : Anxiety, Working Students, Final Year Students, Gender. Penelitian ini difokuskan pada perbedaan kecemasan ditinjau dari perbedaan jenis kelamin yaitu mahasiswa laki-laki dan mahasiswa perempuan pada fakultas psikologi reguler 2 yang sedang menyelesaikan tugas akhir di Universitas X Jakarta dengan jumlah sampel 77 mahasiswa. Teknik sampel yang digunakan Simple Random Sampling. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan Explanatory Survey (kuisioner). Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan skala kecemasan berdasarkan dimensi Kecemasan Holmes. Teknik analisa yang digunakan adalah Independent Sample T-Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukan t hitung = -1,759 dan nilai p = 0,083 > 0,05, artinya tidak terdapat perbedaan kecemasan yang signifikan antara mahasiswa laki-laki dan mahasiswa perempuan yang sedang menyelesaikan tugas akhir. Dengan rerata skor yang dihasilkan mahasiswa berjenis kelamin perempuan lebihh tinggi dibanding mahasiswa laki-laki. Skor Mean mahasiswa perempuan sebesar 43,08 dan skor mean mahasiswa laki-laki sebesar 39,68. Kata kunci : Kecemasan, Mahasiswa Bekerja, Mahasiswa Tugas Akhir, Jenis Kelamin
