Abstract
ABSTRAK Analisa Sistem Penangkal Petir Eksternal Pada Area PT. Toyota Astra Motor (Sunter Common Yard) Indonesia merupakan daerah dengan hari guruh pertahun tertinggi di dunia menurut buku Guinness Book of Record yakni berkisar antara 180 – 260 hari guruh pertahun dengan kerapatan sambaran petir ketanah (Ng) mencapai 30 sambaran per km2 per tahun. Petir merupakan peristiwa alam yaitu proses pelepasan muatan listrik (electrical discharge) yang terjadi di atmosfer. Sambaran petir langsung dapat menyebabkan kerusakan bangunan, peralatan, kebakaran bahkan korban jiwa. Sedangkan tegangan lebih induksi yang disebabkan sambaran petir tidak langsung dapat mempengaruhi kinerja peralatan, umur pakai bahkan kerusakan peralatan. Hal ini dapat menimbulkan kerugian yang besar sehingga dibutuhkan usaha untuk mengurangi resiko kerusakan akibat sambaran petir. Salah satunya dengan sistem penyalur petir pada PT.TAM-SCY merupakan suatu bangunan yang dipergunakan untuk penampungan dan pemasangan aksesoris mobil baru setalah keluar dari line produksi yang memiliki kapasitas cukup besar. Oleh karena itu di area tersebut telah terpasang penyalur petir dengan merk E.F Lightning Protection System dan Skylance Lightning Protection System. Dari kedua penangkal petir yang terpasang ternyata tidak memproteksi seluruh area maka perlu dilakukan perancangan ulang untuk area yang tidak terproteksi. Dalam skripsi ini akan dirancang sistem penangkal petir bagi area yang belum terproteksi. Kata kunci : Analisa, Sambaran petir, E.F Lightning Protection System, Skylance Lightning Protection System, Proteksi Petir. ABSTRACT Analysis External Lightning Protection System In PT. Toyota Astra Motor (Sunter Common Yard) Indonesia was the region with the highest annual day of thunder in the world according to the Guinness Book of World Records book which ranged between 180-260 days of thunder per year with a density of lightning strikes the ground (Ng) reached 30 strikes per km2 per year. Lightning is a natural phenomenon that is the process of electrostatic discharge occurring in the atmosphere. Direct lightning strike can cause damage to buildings, equipment, fire and even fatalities. While induction overvoltage caused by lightning strikes can indirectly affect equipment performance, lifespan and even damage the equipment. This can cause great harm so that it takes effort to reduce the risk of damage from lightning strikes. One of them with a lightning protection system on PT.TAM-SCY is a building used for the storage and installation of a new car accessories after the exit of the production line with a large capacity. Therefore, in that area has installed lightning arrester with the brand E.F Lightning Protection System and Skylance Lightning Protection System. From the second lightning arrester installed is not to protect the whole area it is necessary to redesign for areas that are not protected. In this paper will be designed lightning protection system for the area that has not been protected. .
