Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the level of stress in the child’s companion mother studying at home during the COVID-19 pandemic. The research method used was an experimental method witdh a design between subject pre-post test design. Sampling using purposive sampling technique. The initial sample size of the study was 83 mothers who accompanied their children to study at home during th COVID-19 pandemic. Participants were randomly divided (randomized) using a research randomizer into two experimental and control groups. In the research process, 41 mothers died, because at the time pf the research they werw conducting the Final Semester Examination. So that the experiment was carried out on 42 participants. The experimental group as many as 21 people were given 15-20 minutes of expressive writing treatment for 4 consecutive days and 21 people in the counter group were given daily writing treatment for 4 consecutive days. The stress level variable is measured usin the DASS-21 scale with a questionnaire of 21 item. The results of data analysis usingthe Independent Sample T-Test and Paired Sample T-Test showed that there were significant differences in stress levels between the experimental gruoup and the control group. The experimental group experienced a decrease after expressive writing and the control group experienced a decrease after writing daily activities. The results showed that expressive writing and writing daily activities can reduce stress levels in mthers who accompany children studying at home during the COVID-19 pandemic. Keywords: Stress, Expressive Writing, Child Learning Assistance ==== Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui tingkat stres pada Ibu Pendamping anak belajar di rumah selama masa pandemi COVID-19. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen dengan desain between subject pre-post test design. Pengambilan sample menggunakan teknik pursposive sampling. Jumlah sampel awal penelitian adalah 83 orang Ibu yang mendampingi anak belajar di rumah selama masa pandemi COVID-19. Partisipan dibagi secara acak (randomisasi) dengan menggunakan research randomizer ke dalam dua kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol. Dalam proses penelitian, 41 orang Ibu gugur, karena pada saat penelitian sedang dilakukan Ujian Akhir Semester. Sehingga eksperimen dilakukan pada 42 orang partisipan. Kelompok eksperimen sebanyak 21 orang diberi perlakuan menulis ekspresif 15-20 menit selama 4 hari berturut-turut dan 21 orang kelompok kontrol diberikan perlakuan menulis kegiatan sehari-hari selama 4 hari berturut-turut. Variabel tingkat stres diukur menggunakan skala DASS-21 dengan kuisioer sebanyak 21 item. Hasil analisis data menggunakan Independent Sample T-Test dan Paired Sample T-Test menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan tingkat stres yang signifikan antara kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Kelompok eksperimen mengalami penurunan setelah menulis ekspresif dan kelompok kontrol mengalami penurunan setelah menulis kegiatan sehari-hari. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa menulis ekspresif dan menulis kegiatan sehari-hari dapat menurunkan tingkat stres pada Ibu pendamping anak belajar di rumah selama masa pandemi COVID-19.
