Abstract
ABSTRAK Sistim pendingin ruangan yang sering digunakan sekarang adalah Air Conditioner (AC), yang penggunaan zat kimia freon atau zat refrigeran yang tidak ramah lingkungan yang berdampak pada perusakan lapisan ozon di atmosfer bumi yang menimbulkan pemanasan global, maka diperlukan alternatif baru sistim pendingin ruangan yang bebas dari zat kimia dan ramah lingkungan yaitu menggunakan modul pendingin Thermo Electric Cooler (TEC) yang memanfaatkan sisi dingin. Pendingin Thermo-Electric (TEC), juga disebut pendingin Peltier atau pompa panassolid-state yang memanfaatkan efek Peltier. Saat TEC / Peltier dilewati arus maka akan memindahkan panas dari satu sisi ke sisi lain dan menghasilkan perbedaan panas sekitar 40°C - 70°C. Pengerjaan pada sistem pendingin ruangan ini meliputi proses perancangan desain alat, pemilihan material, perakitan komponen, perakitan kelistrikan dan memasang unit sistem pendingin dengan ruang pendingin, setelah itu dilakukan tahap pengujian dan analisa perpindahan panas pada heatsink. Kata kunci : Thermoelectric, komponen sistim pendingin, perpindahan panas. ABSTRACT The most commonly used air conditioning system is Air Conditioner (AC), the use of freon chemicals or refrigerant substances that are not environmentally friendly which affects the destruction of the ozone layer in the earth's atmosphere which leads to global warming, a new alternative free air conditioning system is needed chemicals and environmentally friendly is using Thermo Electric Cooler (TEC) cooling module that utilizes cold side. Thermo-Electric Cooling (TEC), also called Peltier coolant or panassolid-state pump that utilizes Peltier effect. When TEC / Peltier passes through the current it will move heat from one side to the other and produce a heat difference of about 40 ° C - 70 ° C. The work on this air conditioning system includes the design process,material selection, component assembly, electrical assembly and installation of cooling system unit with cooling chamber, after which the testing stage is done and heat tansfer analysis on the heatsink.
