Abstract

Financial distress indicates a company's financial condition that was experiencing a decline prior to bankruptcy. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of liquidity ratios, leverage ratios and activity ratios to financial distress in manufacturing companies in the consumer goods industry subsector listed on the Indonesian stock exchange in 2016-2018. The sampling technique used in this study is the purposive sampling method. Based on this method, there were 51 companies listed on the IDX and 42 research sample companies were obtained in accordance with the criteria, so that in the 3 years of the study 126 data were obtained as samples. The analysis method used is logistic regression. Based on the research results, it shows that the liquidity ratio variable has no effect on financial distress, the leverage ratio has an effect on financial distress and the activity ratio has an effect on financial distress. Keywords: Financial Distress, Liquidity Ratio, Leverage Ratio and Activity Ratio Financial distress mengindikasikan suatu kondisi keuangan perusahaan yang sedang mengalami penurunan sebelum terjadinya kebangkrutan. Tujuan penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh rasio likuiditas, rasio leverage dan rasio aktivitas terhadap financial distress yang dilakukan pada perusahaan manufaktur sub sektor consumer goods industry yang terdaftar di bursa efek indonesia tahun 2016-2018. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode purposive sampling. Berdasarkan metode tersebut terdapat 51 perusahaan yang terdaftar di BEI dan diperoleh 42 perusahaan sampel penelitian yang sesuai dengan kriteria, sehingga dalam 3 tahun penelitian diperoleh 126 data pengamatan sebagai sampel. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah regresi logistik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel rasio likuiditas tidak berpengaruh terhadap financial distress, rasio leverage berpengaruh terhadap financial distress dan rasio aktivitas berpengaruh terhadap financial distress.
