Abstract

Indonesia is a potentially catastrophic country because it is in the zone of collision of three plates, namely the Eurasian plate, the Indo-Australian plate and the Pacific plate. One of the disasters that often happens is an earthquake. A large earthquake centered on the seabed with relatively shallow depths will trigger a tsunami. Tsunamis are sea waves that occur because of impulsive disturbance to the sea. The most accurate feature of a tsunami is that sea water drastically recedes. There are 21 tsunami prone areas in Indonesia. With the rapid development and technological advancements, especially the internet which is very much needed in daily life for all people without seeing the social status of the community itself. So the authors designed a prototype of tsunami wave early warning based on IoT (Internet of Things). Besides that the prototype will be made using HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor and water flowmeter. The test results show that the ultrasonic has an error rate of 0.0706 and the water flow meter gets the equation y = 3.5322e0.3912x. overall testing of this tool obtained 1 second and 0.5 seconds for information responses to the blynk application. Indonesia merupakan negara yang berpotensi bencana karena berada di zona pertumbukan tiga lempeng, yaitu lempeng Eurasia, lempeng Indo-Australia dan lempeng Pasifik. Salah satu bencana yang sering terjadi adalah gempa bumi. Gempa yang besar berpusat di dasar laut dengan kedalaman relatif dangkal akan memicu terjadinya tsunami. Tsunami adalah gelombang laut yang terjadi karena adanya gangguan impulsif pada laut. Ciri akan terjadinya tsunami yang paling akurat adalah air laut surut secara drastis. Terdapat 21 daerah rawan tsunami di Indonesia. Dengan perkembangan dan kemajuan teknologi yang pesat khususnya internet yang sangat dibutuhkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari untuk semua kalangan masyarakat tanpa melihat status sosial dari masyarakat itu sendiri. Sehingga penulis merancang sebuah prototipe peringatan dini gelombang tsunami berbasis IoT (Internet of Things). Selain itu prototipe yang akan dibuat menggunakan sensor ultrasonik HC-SR04 dan water flowmeter. Hasil pengujian menunjukan bahwa ultrasonik memiliki tingkat error 0,0706 dan water flow meter mendapatkan persamaan y=3.5322e0.3912x. pengujian secara keseluruhan dari alat ini didapatkan 1 detik dan 0,5 detik untuk respon informasi pada aplikasi blynk.
