Abstract

In manufacturing companies that produce tires, from motorcycle tires, cars, buses and trucks, certainly have parts that are responsible for each product called plant. At the time of packing process before inserted into the product warehouse often occurs sticker for packing is not available so as to potentially hinder delivery to distributors. It takes good inventory planning so that there are no problems with sticker inventory. The problem that occurs is sticker inventory in the warehouse is often less than the number of needs when reviewed at the beginning of the month during the month, so additional orders are always more than regular orders. Another problem is the lead time of delivery, suppliers often carry out delivery sticker needs beyond the due date. In this study the authors chose to use ABC analysis to determine the group of control priorities by considering the amount of usage, the amount of investment, and critical value then used the periodic review method to determine the time of order and the number of stickers ordered. From the research obtained the following data, class A 7 items, class B 8 items, and class C 13 items. Then the entry class A is done re-analysis using periodic review method, until obtained the order time, safety stock that must be owned and target inventory of each order to avoid the occurrence of shortage sticker. Keywords: ABC analysis, periodic review, safety stock, inventory target, shortage Pada perusahaan manufaktur yang memproduksi ban, mulai dari ban sepeda motor, mobil, bus dan truck, tentu memiliki bagian-bagian yang bertanggung jawab terhadap setiap produknya yang di sebut sebagai Plant. Pada saat proses packing sebelum dimasukkan ke gudang produk sering terjadi sticker untuk packing tidak tersedia sehingga berpotensi menghambat pengiriman ke distributor. Sehingga dibutuhkan perencanaan persediaan yang baik agar tidak terjadi masalah pada persediaan sticker. Permasalahan yang terjadi yaitu persediaan sticker di gudang sering kurang dari jumlah kebutuhan ketika dilakukan review pada awal bulan saat bulan berjalan, sehingga tambahan pesanan selalu lebih banyak dari pada pesanan regular. Permasalahan lainnya yaitu ketepatan waktu saat pengiriman, yaitu pemasok seringkali melakukan pengiriman kebutuhan sticker melebihi tanggal yang sudah diminta. Pada penelitian ini penulis memilih menggunakan analisis ABC untuk menentukan kelompok prioritas pengendalian dengan mempertimbangkan jumlah pemakaian, besaran investasi, dan nilai kritis kemudian menggunakan metode periodic review untuk menentukan waktu dilakukan pemesanan dan jumlah sticker yang dipesan. Dari penelitian diperoleh data berikut, kelas A sebanyak 7 item, kelas B sebanyak 8 item, kelas C sebanyak 13 item. Kemudian yang masuk kelas A dilakukan analisa kembali dengan menggunakan metode periodic review, hingga didapatkan kan waktu pemesanan, safety stock yang harus dimiliki dan target persediaan setiap pemesanan untuk menghindari terjadinya shortage sticker.
