Abstract

The more people who access the internet, the more crowded the need for internet bandwidth. This can have an impact on traffic congestion at one of the gateways so that when accessing the internet becomes slow. Loadbalance is one solution given to overcome this. Loadbalance is a technique for distributing traffic loads on two or more connection lines in a balanced manner, so that traffic can run optimally, maximizing throughput, reducing delay time and avoiding overload on one connection path. Loadbalance is usually applied by users who have 2 internet providers or commonly called ISPs, this is useful for optimizing traffic traffic when accessing the internet. Loadbalance has several methods in its application, namely: ECMP, Static Route, Round Robin, Per Connection Classifier (PCC). So the author analyzes the method aims to test and compare the appropriate methods to be applied. As well as providing an overview as well as a performance solution for Loadbalance performance in terms of advantages, disadvantages and optimization of the method in accessing the internet. Based on the tests and analysis, it was found that loadbalance with the PTH method, a method that was born from the modification of two PCC & Round Robin loadbalance methods, could be a loadbalance solution because it was considered optimal by minimizing the weaknesses in the PCC & Round Robin method. Based on the calculation of Wireshark the method can reduce latency (1.94 / ms) & increase throughput (2.32 mbps) when applied to access the internet. Keyword : Load balancing, Round Robin, PCC, PCR Semakin banyak masyarakat yang mengakses internet maka kebutuhan akan bandwith internet semakin padat. Hal ini bisa berdampak pada penumpukan traffic disalah satu gateway sehingga pada saat mengakses internet menjadi lambat. Loadbalance merupakan salah satu solusi yang diberikan untuk mengatasi hal tersebut. Loadbalance adalah teknik untuk mendistribusikan beban trafik pada dua atau lebih jalur koneksi secara seimbang, agar trafik dapat berjalan optimal, memaksimalkan throughput, memperkecil delay time dan menghindari overload pada salah satu jalur koneksi. Loadbalance biasa diterapkan oleh user yang memiliki 2 provider internet atau biasa disebut ISP, hal ini berguna untuk mengoptimalkan lalu lintas traffic pada saat mengakses internet. Loadbalance memilik beberapa metode dalam penerapannya, yaitu : ECMP, Static Route, Round Robin, Per Connection Classifier (PCC).Maka penulis menganalisa metode tersebut bertujuan untuk menguji serta mengkomparasi metode yang tepat guna untuk diterapkan. Serta memberikan gambaran sekaligus solusi performansi kinerja Loadbalance dalam segi kelebihan, kekurangan dan optimalisasi metode tersebut dalam mengakses internet. Berdasarkan pengujian dan analisa yang dilakukan didapatkan hasil bahwa loadbalance dengan metode PCR yaitu metode yang lahir dari modifikasi dua metode loadbalance PCC & Round Robin bisa menjadi solusi loadbalance karena dirasa metode tersebut optimal dengan meminimalisir kelemahan yang ada pada metode PCC & Round Robin. Berdasarkan perhitungan wireshark metode tersebut dapat memperkecil latency (1,94/ms) & memperbesar throughput (2,32 mbps) pada saat diterapkan untuk mengakses internet.
