Abstract
A huge cultural diversity, the progress of tourism and the fact the increasing interest of the world community who want to learn the culture of West Java, it is necessary cultural center to accommodate these activities and support the development of existing local and global culture arts. Culture Center is expected to represent the identity or character of West Java so that the building and its complex must be an icon of the region in West Java and Bandung City that describes the spirit of the era that is futuristic and innovative but still pay attention to local wisdom, especially in West Java. Therefore, the final architectural design is trying to produce the design of an iconic West Java cultural center to accommodate community activities, which are related in the field of art and culture. The design uses the "Sustainable Design" approach so that the building can be used in addition to its function, it also has a sustainable building design, environmentally friendly with the conservation of existing resources and respond to the surrounding environment. Keywords: Cultural Center, West Java Art and Cultural Center, WJACC, Green Architecture, and Sustainable Building Keberagaman budaya yang sangat banyak, kemajuan pariwisata dan kenyataan semakin besarnya minat masyarakat dunia yang ingin mempelajari kebudayaan Jawa Barat, maka diperlukan pusat kebudayaan untuk menampung aktivitas tersebut serta mendukung pengembangan seni budaya lokal dan global yang ada. Pusat Kebudayaan diharapkan dapat merepresentasikan identitas atau karakter Jawa Barat sehingga bangunan dan kompleknya harus dapat menjadi ikon kawasan di Jawa Barat dan Kota Bandung yang menggambarkan semangat jamannya yakni futuristik dan inovatif namun tetap memperhatikan kearifan lokal khususnya di Jawa Barat. Oleh sebab itu, Perancangan arsitektur akhir ini mencoba menghasilkan desain pusat budaya Jawa Barat yang iconic untuk mewadahi aktifitas masyarakat, yang terkait dalam bidang seni dan budaya. Desain menggunakan pendekatan “Sustainable Design” sehingga bangunan ini selain dapat digunakan sesuai fungsinya, juga memiliki desain bangunan yang berkelanjutan, ramah lingkungan dengan konservasi sumber daya yang ada dan merespon lingkungan sekitar. Kata Kunci: Pusat Kebudayaan, Pusat Seni dan Budaya Jawa Barat, WJACC, Arsitektur Hijau, dan Bangunan Berkelanjutan.
