Abstract
Many aspects and parameters are taken to overcome energy consumption savings in prototype electric cars in addition to modifying the engine system, including the aerodynamic / streamlined body shape of the car to reduce drag generated. The purpose of this study is to determine the value of the drag coefficient (CD) and lift coefficient (CL) and to visualize the contour and streamlined velocity of air fluid that crosses the body of the Geni Biru KMHE 2020 electric car using the CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) method with three stages: pre-processing which includes the formation of body geometry and wind tunnel enclosure with 7 m / s inlet velocity input parameters, solving with 1000 iteration convergence target iterations, and post-processing by displaying a residual convergence history graph. From numerical analysis using the CFD method, the air fluid that crosses the body of the Geni Biru KMHE 2020 electric car at a speed of 7 m / s is a drag coefficient (CD) value of 0.144 and a drag force value of 1.884 N, while the lift coefficient (CL) value is 0.014. and the lift force value is 0.183 N. The results of the contour pressure analysis show that there is a stagnation area at the front of the body (nose) marked in red and bubble separation occurs at several points marked in green. And from the streamlined plot analysis, there are several separation points at the rear which cause the creation of a wake area which affects the amount of drag force (drag) which has an impact on the decreasing speed of the car. Keywords: KMHE, prototype, electric vehicles, aerodynamics, drag coefficient (CD), lift coefficient (CL), CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) Banyak aspek dan parameter yang dilakukan untuk mengatasi penghematan konsumsi energi pada mobil listrik prototype selain memodifikasi sistem engine, diantaranya bentuk bodi mobil yang aerodinamis / streamline untuk mengurangi gaya hambat (drag) yang ditimbulkan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui nilai drag coefficient (CD) dan lift coefficient (CL) serta dapat visualisasi contour dan streamline velocity fluida udara yang melintasi bodi mobil listrik Geni Biru KMHE 2020 dengan menggunakan metode CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) dengan tiga tahapan : pre-processing yang meliputi pembentukan geometri bodi dan enclosure terowongan angin dengan parameter masukan inlet velocity 7 m/s, solving dengan iterasi target convergence 1000 iterasi, dan postprocessing dengan tampilnya grafik residual convergence history. Dari analisis numerik dengan metode CFD, fluida udara yang melintasi bodi mobil listrik Geni Biru KMHE 2020 pada kecepatan 7 m/s menghasilkan nilai drag coefficient (CD) sebesar 0,144 dan nilai drag force 1,884 N, sedangkan untuk nilai lift coefficient (CL) sebesar 0,014 dan nilai lift force 0,183 N . Hasil dari analisis contour pressure, terdapat daerah stagnasi di bagian depan bodi (nose) ditandai dengan warna merah dan terjadi separasi bubble di beberapa titik yang di tandai dengan warna hijau. Dan dari analisis plot streamline terdapat beberapa separasi point pada bagian belakang yang menyebabkan terciptanya wake area yang berpengaruh terhadap besarnya drag force (gaya hambat) yang berdampak pada menurunnya laju mobil.
