Abstract
PT. XYZ, is a company engaged in the automotive industry. In producing its products, PT. XYZ always provides the best for its customers in terms of quality. PT. XYZ is also faced with the improvement of the production of the Roof Panel BY the upside bump defect which is a product with a percentage of 33.3% greater than the defect in the period January 2019 - December 2019. Therefore, the Six Sigma method with DMAIC motion sickness (Define, Measure, Analysis, Fix, Control) with the aim of determining the type of defect that has the largest, determine the cause of the largest type of defect. After calculating and analyzing the data using the DMAIC method, it is known that the largest type of defect is a lump above which has a percentage of 33.3% based on the calculation of the Pareto diagram which is then used Fish Bone Diagrams which are fixed carefully, set, lack of training), Material Factors (there are particles scrap, there is a small bump), Method Factor (lack of supervision, improper placement), Machine Factor (lack of maintenance, machine life is too long). At the upgrade stage, choose an alternative that contains training for operators, repairing the machine and carrying out machine rejuvenation. In the engine control in accordance with engine capacity, so that the performance of the engine runs according to the age of the engine. Conduct training of operators in running new machines according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) on these machines Keyword : DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyz, Improve, Control) PT. XYZ, adalah perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang industri otomotif. Dalam menghasilkan produknya PT. XYZ selalu berusaha memberikan yang terbaik bagi pelanggannya dari segi mutu. PT. XYZ juga dihadapkan permasalahan perbaikan pada bagian produksi Panel Roof BY pada defect benjolan keatas yang merupakan produk dengan persentase cacat 33,3% lebih besar dibandingkan dengan defect lainnya pada periode Januari 2019 – Desember 2019. Oleh karena itu digunakan metode Six Sigma dengan tahap DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyz, Improve, Control) dengan tujuan menentukan jenis defect terbanyak yang memiliki persentase terbesar, menentukan penyebab jenis defect terbesar. Setelah dilakukan perhitungan serta analisis data menggunakan metode DMAIC, diketahui bahwa jenis defect terbesar adalah Benjolan keatas yang memiliki persentase 33,3% bersadarkan perhitungan diagram pareto selanjutnya digunakan Diagram Tulang Ikan sehingga diketahui penyebab terjadinya defect Benjolan keatas adalah Faktor Manusia (terburu-buru, kurang teliti, kelelahan, kurang pelatihan), Faktor Material (terdapat partikel scrap, terdapat benjolan kecil), Faktor Metode (kurang pengawasan, peletakan tidak pas), Faktor Mesin (kurang pemeliharaan, umur mesin sudah terlalu lama). Pada tahap Improve ditentukan alternative usulan berupa memberikan pelatihan terhadap operator, perbaikan pada mesin dan melakukan peremajaan mesin. Pada tahap Control disarankan Penggunaan mesin sesuai dengan kapasitas mesin, agar kinerja mesin berjalan sesuai umur mesin. Melakukan pelatihan terhadap operator dalam mengoperasikan mesin baru sesuai Standar Operasional Prosedur (SOP) pada mesin tersebut. Kata Kunci : DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyz, Improve, Control)
