Abstract
Intersections are the most important component in a road network system because after all the good performance of road segments, if not supported by good crossing performance, the system can be said to be the performance of the road network system will certainly be low. Kabupaten Lebak is part of the administrative area of Banten Province which has a quite high intensity of activities which includes mining and plantation activities. Therefore, support is needed from all aspects, particularly aspects of road transportation, including intersections. Noting this, the treatment applied must consider the effects on traffic performance and the value of economic benefits. to realize the system, it is necessary to do traffic management and engineering at the RA Kartini Intersection. The method of analysis used in this study is the manual method with MKJI 1997 guidance. With this method, the performance of existing intersections and the condition of the proposals can be analyzed. After measuring the performance of the proposed intersection, a comparison is made of the performance of the existing conditions with the proposed conditions using the intersection service indicator (delay), the degree of saturation, and the length of the queue. Based on the results of the analysis, simulated strategies and alternatives can change the performance of intersections that are the object of research after the phase change experiences an increase in the level of service that was originally from E (worst) to D (reduced). Keywords : delay, degree of saturation, queue length Persimpangan merupakan komponen terpenting dalam sistem jaringan jalan karena bagaimanapun baiknya kinerja ruas jalan, jika tidak didukung dengan kinerja persimpangan yang baik, maka secara sistem dapat dikatakan kinerja sistem jaringan jalan tersebut dipastikan akan rendah. Kabupaten Lebak merupakan bagian dari wilayah administratif Provinsi Banten yang memiliki intensitas kegiatan cukup tinggi yang meliputi kegiatan pertambangan dan perkebunan. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan dukungan dari segala aspek, khususnya aspek transportasi jalan antara lain persimpangan. Memperhatikan hal tersebut, maka penanganan yang diterapkan harus mempertimbangkan pengaruh terhadap unjuk kerja lalu lintas dan nilai manfaat ekonomi. untuk mewujudkan sistem tersebut, maka perlu dilakukan manajemen dan rekayasa lalu lintas pada Simpang RA Kartini. Metode analisa yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode manual dengan panduan MKJI 1997. Dengan metode tersebut dapat dianalisa kinerja simpang eksisting dan kondisi usulan. Setelah mengukur kinerja simpang usulan, maka dilakukan perbandingan kinerja kondisi eksisting dengan kondisi usulan yaitu menggunakan indikator pelayanan simpang (tundaan), derajat kejenuhan, dan panjang antrian. Berdasarkan hasil analisa, strategi maupun alternatif yang disimulasikan dapat merubah kinerja simpang yang menjadi objek penelitian setelah perubahan fase mengalami peningkatan tingkat pelayanan yang semula F (buruk sekali) menjadi C (cukup). kata kunci : tundaan, derajat kejenuhan, panjang antrian
