Abstract

In the construction and service period of highway construction, there are often problems due to the relatively soft soil condition, for example, located in Gedebage area, Bandung city. The problem occurs in the form of a large settlement in the base soil and varies over a long time. One solution in this study is repairing base soils with PVD with pre-loading. This study aims to obtain the value of the settlement in base soil due to the construction of the road embankment and know the comparison of the settlement in soft clay base soil due to the construction of road embankment by numerical and conventional methods, then knowing the comparison of the settlement in road embankment construction on soft clay base soil before and after the repair of base soil with PVD with pre-loading. The results of the study showed a settlement consolidation of the Gedebage area's base soil due to a class II road construction embankment of 3.00m and a 90% consolidation time obtained at BH-01 of 1,753 meters (depth of 20 m) for 135.57 years and at BH-02 of 1,712 meters (depth of 19 m) for 134.60 years. The base soil repair method is the PVD triangle pattern distance of 1.2 m with a depth of 20 meters. Pre-loading carried out embankment load as high as 5.5 meters with a speed of 110 cm/week to get the final embankment height of 3.00 meters, and the height of the embankment dismantled at 0,450 meters. Dalam proses pembangunan maupun masa pelayanan konstruksi jalan raya, sering terjadi masalah karena kondisi tanah dasar yang relatif lunak, sebagai contohnya tanah yang berada di Kawasan Gedebage, Kota Bandung. Permasalahan yang terjadi berupa penurunan tanah dasar yang besar serta bervariasi dalam jangka waktu yang lama. Salah satu solusi yang dilakukan pada penelitian ini adalah metode perbaikan tanah dasar dengan PVD yang diberi penimbunan bertahap. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan nilai penurunan tanah dasar akibat konstruksi timbunan jalan raya, mengetahui perbandingan nilai penurunan tanah dasar lempung lunak akibat konstruksi timbunan jalan raya dengan metode numerik dan konvensional. Dan mengetahui perbandingan penurunan konstruksi timbunan jalan raya pada tanah dasar lempung lunak sebelum dan setelah dilakukan perbaikan tanah dengan PVD yang dibebani. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan penurunan konsolidasi tanah dasar kawasan Gedebage akibat timbunan konstruksi jalan kelas II tinggi 3,00m dan waktu konsolidasi 90% didapatkan di BH-01 sebesar 1.753 meter (kedalaman 20 m) selama 135,57 tahun dan di BH-02 sebesar 1.712 meter (kedalaman 19 m) selama 134,60 tahun. Metode perbaikan tanah dilakukan dengan menggunakan PVD pola segitiga jarak 1,2 m dengan kedalaman 13 meter. Pembebanan bertahap dilakukan beban timbunan setinggi 5,5 meter dengan kecepatan penimbunan 110 cm/minggu hingga mendapatkan tinggi timbunan akhir 3,00meter dan tinggi timbunan dibongkar 0,450 meter.
