Abstract

The information system is a unity of elements that interact with each other systematically and regularly to create and shape the flow of information that will support decision making and control all forms of Activity. The development of this information system is not just to automate old procedures, but also to organize and update even create new data streams that are more efficient, establish new data processing procedures that are more precise, systematic, and simple, determine informative and standard presentation models, and provide effective information distribution. This research is intended to create a system that can provide information and carry out an effective inventory management of office goods. With the amount of equipment found in the company, we need an integrated system that is related to the process of stating goods and their respective specifications. The results of the development of the information system will later be used as a tool in the process of inventory management and has been designed to overcome the difficulties in inventorying data contained in the company and provide a warning about the maintenance deadline that can be seen clearly so as to facilitate the work of the General Affairs. Key words: Data Collection, Information Systems, Inventory Management, Office Equipment Sistem informasi merupakan kesatuan elemen-elemen yang saling berinteraksi secara sistematis dan teratur untuk menciptakan dan membentuk aliran informasi yang akan mendukung pembuatan keputusan dan melakukan kontrol terhadap segala bentuk aktivitas. Pengembangan sistem informasi ini tidak hanya sekedar untuk mengotomatisasikan prosedur lama, tetapi juga menata dan memperbaharui bahkan menciptakan aliran data baru yang lebih efisien, menetapkan prosedur pengolahan data yang baru yang lebih tepat, sistematis, dan sederhana, menentukan model penyajian yang informatif dan standar, serta memberikan distribusi yang efektif. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk membuat suatu sistem yang dapat memberikan informasi dan melakukan proses manajemen inventarisasi barang kantor secara efektif. Dengan banyaknya peralatan yang terdapat pada perusahaan, maka diperlukan suatu sistem terpadu yang berkaitan dengan proses pandataan barang tersebut beserta spesifikasinya masing-masing. Hasil pengembangan dari sistem informasi nantinya akan dipergunakan sebagai sebuah alat bantu dalam proses manajemen inventaris dan telah didesain untuk mengatasi kesulitankesulitan dalam pendataan inventaris yang terdapat pada perusahaan dan memberikan peringatan mengenai batas waktu maintenance yang dapat terlihat dengan jelas sehingga mempermudah pekerjaan dari General Affair .
