Abstract

The technology for maintaining and repairing aircraft turbine engines especially for the CFM56 Series type is CFM56-3, CFM56-5, and CFM56-7 basically PT. GMF AeroAsia in performing engine maintenance for the scope of overhaul work uses a maintenance stand or engine handling support pedestal as stated in the engine shop manual (ESM) as the main guideline in carrying out maintenance and repair of the engine. Maintenance stand and engine handling support pedestal is a one meter high steel structure that is placed vertically on the floor to support the engine in a horizontal position when maintenance is installed at least four units as legs. Process problems and ergonomic reasons are the main points, the solution for this is a tool that can reach the efficiency of the process and ergonomics to maintain CFM56 engine maintenance. In this final project the Engine Gantry System solution is designed to overcome this problem by using the method of hanging objects to maintain aircraft turbine engine maintenance, especially the CFM56 type, which consists of a gantry and hoist crane that runs on the frame bridge horizontally and moves on the rail line vertically with High level of accuracy and position precision with PLC-based Siemens S7-1500. The results of the test showed that the percentage of deviation of the position of the carrier axis X engine is 0% to 2%, and the Z axis is 0% to 1%. While the percentage of the deviation position of the main axis X hoist is 0% to 1.16%, and the secondary axis X hoist is 0% to 1.33%. Keywords: CFM56, Gantry, PLC Siemens S7-1500, Hoist, Engine Handling Support Pedestal Teknologi untuk melakukan perawatan dan perbaikan mesin turbin pesawat terbang khususnya untuk tipe CFM56 Series yaitu CFM56-3, CFM56-5, dan CFM56-7 pada dasarnya PT. GMF AeroAsia dalam melakukan perawatan engine untuk lingkup kerja overhaul menggunakan sebuah alat maintenance stand atau engine handling support pedestal sesuai yang disebutkan dalam engine shop manual (ESM) sebagai pedoman utama dalam melakukan perawatan dan perbaikan engine tersebut. Maintenance stand dan engine handling support pedestal adalah struktur baja setinggi satu meter yang diletakkan di lantai secara vertikal untuk menyangga engine dalam posisi horisontal pada saat perawatan yang dipasang minimal empat unit sebagai kaki. Permasalahan proses dan alasan ergonomis menjadi poin utama, solusi untuk ini adalah sebuah alat yang dapat menjangkau efesiensi proses serta ergonomis untuk melakukan perawatan engine CFM56. Pada tugas akhir ini solusi Engine Gantry System didesain untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut dengan menggunakan metode menggantung objek untuk melakukan perawatan mesin turbin pesawat khususnya tipe CFM56 yang terdiri dari gantry dan hoist crane yang berjalan pada jembatan rangka secara horizontal dan yang bergerak pada jalur rel secara vertical dengan tingkat akurasi dan presisi posisi yang tinggi dengan berbasis PLC Siemens S7-1500 . Hasil dari pengujian menunjukkan bahwa besar presentase deviasi posisi engine carrier axis X adalah 0% hingga 2%, dan axis Z adalah 0% hingga 1%. Sedangkan besar presentase deviasi posisi main hoist axis X adalah 0% hingga 1.16%, dan secondary hoist axis X adalah 0% hingga 1.33%.
