Abstract

The development of telecommunications technology in the modern era is happening very rapidly because of the demand related to communication needs and high data exchange. The application of optical fiber as a transmission medium is widely used and is believed to meet service needs. FTTB is a network that is able to connect OLT (Optical Line Termination) with customers in the office area using optical fiber as the transmission media. There are several methods in increasing GPT-based FTTB networks that can be done one of them by using the higher split ratio method. Implementation and Design of Fiber to The Building (FTTB) with Higher Split Ratio Method in Buildings in Tebet Area, South Jakarta. In this study, the determination of device specifications, layout and number of devices will be determined. In this final project also simulated using Optisystem and direct measurements in the field. the results of the data obtained are then evaluated and analyzed the network that has been designed based on the link power budget parameters that meet the optical network eligibility standards set by PT. Aplikanusa Lintasarta. The design of the higher split ratio method adopted in this final project takes the concentration of the JC (Joint Closure) location on Jl. Prof. Dr. Soepomo with Tunas Redean, Tafakul Insurance, and Bank Panin as users. The location of CO to ODP is 1.88 km. Then ODP to JC is 0.15 km. While the distance from JC to OTB Tunas redean is 0.22 km. Then the distance from JC to OTB Insurance tafakul is 0.06 km. And the distance from JC to Panin Bank OTB is 0.11 km. Based on the analysis and testing results that have been carried out as a whole the value of the power link budget obtained does not exceed the receiver sensitivity limit determined by PT. Aplikanusa Lintasarta ITU-T G.984 that is -28 dBm so it can be said that FTTB network performance using the higher split ratio method is good and the method is necessary because there will be performance and time efficiency when installing new networks. Higher split ratio method is a method that is considered suitable for dense office areas. Keywords: FTTB, higher split ratio, link power budget, Optisystem, OPM Perkembangan teknologi telekomunikasi di era modern ini terjadi secara sangat pesat karena adanya permintaan terkait kebutuhan berkomunikasi dan pertukaran data yang tinggi. Penerapan serat optik sebagai media transmisi banyak digunakan dan dipercaya dapat memenuhi kebutuhan layanan. FTTB merupakan jaringan yang mampu menghubungkan OLT ( Optical Line Termination ) dengan pelanggan di area perkantoran menggunakan serat optik sebagai media transmisinya. Ada beberapa metode dalam peningkatan jaringan FTTB berbasis GPON yang dapat dilakukan salah satunya dengan menggunakan metode higher split ratio. Implementasi dan Perancangan Fiber to The Building (FTTB) dengan Metode Higher Split Ratio pada Gedung di Area Tebet Jakarta Selatan. Dalam penelitian ini, akan dilakukan penentuan spesifikasi perangkat, tata letak dan jumlah perangkat yang digunakan. Pada tugas akhir ini juga disimulasikan menggunakan Optisystem dan pengukuran langsung di lapangan. hasil data yang diperoleh kemudian dilakukan evaluasi dan analisa terhadap jaringan yang telah dirancang berdasarkan parameter link power budget yang memenuhi standar kelayakan jaringan optik yang ditetapkan oleh PT. Aplikanusa Lintasarta. Perancangan metode higher split ratio yang diangkat pada proyek akhir ini mengambil kosentrasi lokasi JC (Joint Closure) di Jl. Prof. Dr. Soepomo dengan Tunas Redean, Asuransi Tafakul, dan Bank Panin sebagai user. Letak CO ke ODP berjarak 1.88 km. Kemudian ODP ke JC berjarak 0.15 km. Sementara jarak dari JC ke OTB Tunas redean berjarak 0,22 km. Lalu jarak dari JC ke OTB Asuransi tafakul berjarak 0,06 km. Dan jarak JC ke OTB bank panin yaitu 0.11 km. Berdasarkan hasil analisa dan pengujian yang telah dilakukan secara keseluruhan nilai power link budget yang didapatkan tidak melebihi batas sensitivity receiver yang ditentukan oleh PT. Aplikanusa Lintasarta ITU-T G.984 yaitu -28 dBm sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa performansi jaringan FTTB menggunakan metode higher splite ratio ini ialah baik dan metode tersebut perlu karena akan terjadi efesiensi kinerja dan waktu pada saat pemasangan jaringan baru. Metode higher split ratio merupakan metode yang dinilai cocok untuk daerah perkantoran yang padat. Kata Kunci : FTTB, higher split ratio, link power budget, Optisystem, OPM
