Abstract
Inventory design in an industry today is often problematic. A common problem that is often faced is the excess inventory of raw materials or lack of raw material supplies. PT. Saedong Indonesia II is engaged in the fields of New Balance and Adidas shoes with different requests for each product. This results in the company must be precise and fast in carrying out inventory control considering that good inventory control can increase company productivity. Upper product demand data taken is the upper product of New Balance shoes that are often ordered and produced by the company obtained from PPIC plants and have been stored in Microsoft Excel applications for 5 months, from August to December 2018. Upper shoes manufactured at PT Saedong Indonesia II is a short term product, so the shoe type changes quickly. Development planning uses 4 forecasting methods, namely Single Eksponential Smoothing, Double Exponential Smoothing, Constant, and Moving Avarage, and with 5 Lotsize methods namely Lot For Lot, Period Order Quantity, Part Period Balancing, Fixed Order Quantity, and Economic Order Quantity. From the results of forecasting calculations with error values that have been tested for validation using MR Map, the results of the chosen forecasting method are the 3-week moving average method. While the results of calculations with lot sizing technique showed that the lot for lot method has the smallest amount of costs, but in its use the lot for lot method is not appropriate to use for SUBCONT M 608 material analysis. If there is no raw material to worry about if it occurs mistakes in producing the company must wait for material arrival until the next period. Therefore, in this study the economic order quantity method is chosen which has the second smallest result after the lot for lot method. From the actual total cost results compared to using the method the company uses, it can be seen that there is a difference that can be saved up to Rp. 9,528,460. Keywords: Inventory planning, Upper shoes, Forecasting Method, Lotsize Method, Validation Test Perancangan persediaan di suatu industri saat ini sering sekali bermasalah. Masalah umum yang sering dihadapi ialah kelebihan persediaan bahan baku ataupun kekurangan persediaan bahan baku. PT. Saedong Indonesia II bergerak di bidang upper sepatu New Balance dan Adidas dengan permintaan yang berbeda – beda di setiap produknya. Hal ini mengakibatkan perusahaan harus tepat dan cepat di dalam melakukan pengendalian persediaan mengingat pengendalian persediaan yang baik dapat meningkatkan produktivitas perusahaan. Data permintaan produk upper yang diambil adalah produk upper sepatu New Balance yang sering dipesan dan diproduksi oleh perusahaan yang didapat dari plant PPIC dan telah disimpan di aplikasi microsoft excell selama 5 bulan yaitu sejak Agustus - Desember 2018. Sepatu upper yang di produksi di PT Saedong Indonesia II bersifat short term product, jadi cepat berganti type sepatu. Perencanaan kebuhutuhan menggunakan 4 metode peramalan yaitu Single Eksponensial Smoothing, Double Eksponential Smoothing, Konstan, dan Moving Avarage, serta dengan 5 metode Lotsize yaitu Lot For Lot, Period Order Quantity, Part Period Balancing, Fixed Order Quantity, dan Economic Order Quantity. Dari hasil perhitungan peramalan dengan nilai kesalahan (error) yang telah diuji validasi menggunakan Peta MR, didapatkan hasil metode peramalan terpilih yaitu metode moving average 3 minggu. Sedangkan dari hasil perhitungan dengan teknik lot sizing didapatkan hasil bahwa metode lot for lot memiliki jumlah biaya terkecil, namun dalam penggunaannya metode lot for lot kurang tepat di gunakan untuk analisis Material SUBCONT M 608. Jika tidak ada bahan baku yang di simpan di khawatirkan jika terjadi kesalahan dalam melakukan produksi perusahaan harus menunggu datangnya material hingga periode selanjutnya. Oleh karna itu dalam penelitian ini di pilih metode economic order quantity yang memiliki hasil biaya terkecil kedua setelah Metode lot for lot. Dari hasil total biaya secara aktual dibandingkan dengan menggunakan metode yang perusahaan gunakan, dapat di lihat ada selisih yang dapat di hemat hingga sebesar Rp9,528,460.
