Abstract

Class can be influence by the achievement of the results of learning activities by students. Class with artificial conditioning need to pay attention to openings to make natural ventilation. Discussing about this research would like to learn how to improve students comfort in a class without using artificial ventilation. By choosing one of the schools in the classroom that could not use a room temperature regulator, named Budi Mulia High School, Ciledug - Tangerang. The method used in this research is qualitative and quantitative methods. In the classroom a measurement is made of the air temperature (Thermometer), wind speed (Anemometer) and humidity of the room (Dry & Wet). Measurements made using three experiments, namely by opening all, partially open and closed all. To ensure the thermal comfort of the class carried out to students a questionnaire was carried out to determine the thermal received by class users. The results of this study indicate that the temperature rises at 16.00 with the highest temperature of 33.9 ° C. With a PMV value (Predicted Mean vote) and PPD (Percentage of Dissatisfied Persons) which is quite high at 1.59 (PMV) and 56 % (PPD). It was found that thermal comfort values obtained by classrooms did not meet thermal comfort. Keywords: Thermal Comfort, PMV, PPD, Classroom, Windows Effect Kelas dapat mempengaruhi prestasi dari hasil kegiatan (pembelajaran) yang di lakukan oleh siswa/i. Kelas dengan pengkondisian buatan perlu memerhatikan bukaan untuk membuat penghawaan secara alami. Sehingga pada penelitian ini ingin mengetahui bagaimana tingkat kenyamanan siswa/i pada suatu ruang kelas dengan tanpa menggunakan penghawaan buatan. Dengan itu dipilih salah satu sekolah yang dalam ruang kelasnya dapat tidak menggunakan pengatur suhu ruang buatan yaitu, Sekolah SMA Budi Mulia, Ciledug – Tangerang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Pada ruang kelas dilakukan pengukuran berupa suhu udara (Thermometer), kecepatan angin (Anemometer) dan kelembaban ruangan (Dry & Wet). Pengukuran yang dilakukan menggunakan tiga eksperimen yaitu dengan kondisi bukaan terbuka semua, bukaan terbuka sebagian dan bukaan tertutup semua. Untuk memastikan kenyamanan termal pada ruang kelas terhadap siswa dilakukan kuesioner agar dapat diketahui sensasi termal yang dirasakan oleh pengguna ruang kelas. Dari hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan suhu naik tertinggi pada pukul 16.00 yaitu dengan suhu tertinggi 33,9°C. Dengan nilai PMV (Predicted Mean vote) dan PPD (Percentage of People Dissatisfied) yang cukup tinggi yaitu mencapai 1,59 (PMV) dan 56% (PPD). Sehingga ditemukan bahwa nilai kenyamanan termal yang diperoleh ruang kelas tersebut belum memenuhi kenyamanan termal. Kata Kunci : Kenyamanan Termal, PMV, PPD, Ruang Kelas, Pengaruh Bukaan
