Abstract
Public space must be accessible physically and visually by the general public. So that physical elements very usefull in shaping the pattern of activity and utilization of space. One example of Public Space is the City Park. City parks are a form of action in improving the quality of the city's environment. The function of city parks, besides being an aesthetic element of city space, also functions as an ecological element of the city. Visitors to Cattleya City Park are very diverse. From the age of young to elderly. One of the most visitors is Teenagers. Where the age of adolescents according to the Development Psychology book has many interests, especially recreational interests such as sports, playing, and traveling. The purpose of this study is to determine the pattern of youth activities in the utilization of the city park. The research method carried out using qualitative methods in the form of observations by mapping activities and interviews. Activities carried out by adolescents are active engagement (walking, sports) and passive engagement (sitting, standing). Keyword: Public Space, City Park, Pattern of Youth Activity Ruang terbuka publik merupakan tempat yang harus dapat diakses secara fisik maupun visual oleh masyarakat umum, sehingga elemen fisik berperan penting dalam membentuk pola aktivitas dan pemanfaatan ruangnya. Salah satu contoh Ruang Publik adalah Taman kota. Taman kota merupakan suatu bentuk aksi dalam meningkatkan kualitas lingkungan hidup kota. Fungsi taman kota, selain merupakan elemen estetika ruang kota, juga berfungsi sebagai elemen ekologi kota. Pengunjung Taman Kota Cattleya sangat beragam. Dari mulai usia belia sampai lansia. Salah satu pengunjung terbanyak adalah Remaja. Dimana usia remaja menurut buku Psikologi Perkembangan memiliki banyak minat terutama minat rekreasi sepeti olahraga, bermain , dan bepergian.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pola aktivitas remaja dalam pemanfaatan taman kota tersebut. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan menggunakan metode kualitatif berupa observasi dengan pemetaan aktivitas dan wawancara. Aktivitas yang dilakukan oleh remaja adalah adalah active engagement ( berjalan, olahraga) dan passive engagement ( duduk, berdiri). Kata Kunci : Ruang Publik, Taman Kota, Pola Aktivitas Remaja
