Abstract

The ammonia compound is a chemical compound that is abundant in nature. Discharge of ammonia waste into aquatic life (water body) will have a negative impact that causes ecological and health problems. Ammonia is easily transformed into ammonium ions due to high temperature and pH changes. In this study, ammonium sensors are designed to analyze the ammonium content in the environment and also potentially be applied in the fields of food, fishery and health. The sensor research was developed with screen-printed electrodes that use poly tetrahydrofurfuryl acrylate (pTHFA) as membranes on the electrode surface with polymerization. The tetrahydrofurfuryl acrylate poly (pTHFA) membrane was polymerized above the chlorinated Ag / AgCl layer and obtained a 51.58 mV / decade Nernst value (slope) on the Ag / AgCl layer. The optimization test results based on KTpClPB and ammonium ionophore I composition variations showed optimum results on each composition of 1 and 1.5 mg with Nernst value (slope) of 44.74 and 50.11 mV / decade respectively with a linear range of 10-1 until 10-4. The results of the selectivity test on the interference ions showed the respective values were -1.38 for lead ions (Pb2 +), -0.91 for potassium (K +), -2.24 for sodium (Na +) and -1, 13 for silver (Ag +). Result of validation test to some sample there are some difference of value possible due to disturbance from interference ion (interference). Keywords: Ammonium sensor, screen-printed electrodes, Tetrahydrofurfuryl acrylate (THFA), potentiometry. ammonia ke kehidupan akuatik (water body) akan memiliki dampak negatif yang menyebabkan masalah ekologis dan kesehatan. Ammonia mudah berubah bentuk menjadi ion ammonium disebabkan tingginya perubahan suhu dan pH sekitar. Dalam penelitian ini dibuat sensor ammonium yang bertujuan menganalisis kadar ammonium di lingkungan sekitar dan juga berpotensi diaplikasikan dalam bidang makanan, perikanan dan kesehatan. Penelitian sensor ini dikembangkan dengan elektroda screenprinted yang menggunakan poly tetrahydrofurfuryl acrylate (pTHFA) sebagai membran pada permukaan elektroda dengan polimerisasi. Membran poly tetrahydrofurfuryl acrylate (pTHFA) dipolimerisasikan diatas lapisan Ag/AgCl yang terklorinasi dan didapat nilai uji Nernst (slope) 51,58 mV/decade pada lapisan Ag/AgCl. Hasil uji optimasi berdasarkan variasi komposisi KTpClPB dan ammonium ionophore I menunjukkan hasil optimum pada komposisi masing – masing 1 dan 1,5 mg dengan nilai Nernst (slope) masing – masing 44,74 dan 50,11 mV/decade dengan daerah linear 10-1 sampai 10-4. Hasil dari uji selektifitas pada ion pengganggu (interference) menunjukkan nilai masing – masing adalah -1,38 untuk ion timbal (Pb2+), -0,91 untuk potassium (K+), -2,24 untuk sodium (Na+) dan -1,13 untuk perak (Ag+). Hasil uji validasi terhadap beberapa sample terdapat beberapa perbedaan nilai yang dimungkinkan akibat gangguan dari ion pengganggu (interference).
