Abstract
To create a convenience for the aircraft passengers, especially in Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta Airport, the terminal building is facilitated by an AC system or commonly called AC (Air Conditioner). To maintain the quality of water so that there is no corrosion in the pipes used in the AC system, one of which is to maintain the pH level of the water. Until now, there is no tool to determine the pH level of the water used in the chiller system to the Cooling Tower. As a result, when the pipe is corrosion, it will reduce the Chiller performance. Current efforts to prevent this problem are by mixing some kinds of chemicals so that the pH level of the water remains neutral. Mixing chemicals itself cannot be controlled properly because they are still done manually and continuously. Hardware design includes Arduino design, pH sensor, LCD, Relay and ESP8266 Wifi Module. Software design includes Arduino programming design, and website design and application creation for Android smartphones using the APP Inventor. The results of measuring the pH value using this tools have a degree of accuracy where the percentage of reading errors is only around 2.12%. The working principle of this design is that pH control can work automatically where the relay is ON at a pH value below 6, relays OFF at a pH value between 6 to 8 and returns the relay ON at a pH value above 8. And reading the pH value can be observed directly through Android smartphone. Keywords: Monitoring, water pH level, Cooling Tower, Internet of Things, Arduino Mega 2560 Demi terciptanya kenyamanan penumpang pesawat udara khususnya di Terminal 3 Bandara Soekarno-Hatta, gedung terminal difasilitasi oleh sistem pengatur temperatur udara atau yang umumnya disebut dengan AC (Air Conditioner). Untuk tetap menjaga kualitas air agar tidak terjadi korosi pada pipapipa yang digunakan pada sistem AC tersebut salah satunya adalah tetap menjaga kadar pH air. Sampai saat ini, belum tersedia alat untuk mengetahui kadar pH air yang digunakan dalam sistem Chiller ke Cooling Tower. Akibatnya pada saat pipa-pipa mengalami korosi, maka akan mengurangi performa mesin pendingin. Upaya yang saat ini dilakukan untuk mencegah terjadinya hal tersebut adalah dengan melakukan pencampuran zat kimia agar kadar pH air tetap dalam nilai netral. Pencampuran zat kimia sendiri belum dapat terkontrol dengan baik dikarenakan masih dikerjakan secara manual dan secara terus-menerus. Perancangan perangkat keras meliputi perancangan Arduino, sensor pH, LCD, Relay serta Modul Wifi ESP8266. Perancangan perangkat lunak meliputi perancangan pemograman arduino, dan perancangan desain website serta pembuatan aplikasi untuk smartphone android menggunakan app inventor. Hasil pengukuran nilai pH menggunakan alat yang dibuat memiliki tingkat keakuratan dimana besaran persentasi kesalahan pembacaan hanya sekitar 2,12 %. Prinsip kerja dari rancangan ini yaitu kontrol pH secara otomatis dapat bekerja dimana relay ON pada nilai pH dibawah 6, relay OFF pada nilai pH 6 sampai 8 dan relay kembali ON pada nilai pH diatas 8. Dan hasil pembacaan nilai pH dapat diamati langsung melalui smartphone android. Kata Kunci: Monitoring, Kadar pH air, Cooling Tower, Internet of Things, Arduino Mega 2560
