Abstract
The task of the Final Architecture Design is to design a West Java Cultural Center, which aims to accommodate arts and cultural activities within the scope of local, national and international scales. West Java Province has the potential in the field of unique tourism and culture as well as a variety of creative products that require an integrated venue for Meeting, Incentive, Convention, Exhibition, Performing (MICEP). During this time the existing paradigm regarding the Cultural Center is something that is considered frozen (frozen). This shows the need for the dynamics of the tradition of dialogue between place, time and form of space. The foundation for the cultural center in West Java, can be taken local ideas / concepts that underlie the design, not just imitating aspects of the outer form but more profound aspects, namely aspects of philosophy such as space, mass, and form. The building must reflect its era as a form of traditional to modern dialogue, so that design can reflect modern ideas nowadays but also the spirit of local wisdom, so as to create continuity between post-present-future. The WJACC building design concept takes the theme of the West Java logo, "GEMAH RIPAH REPEH RAPIH" which has the meaning of a prosperous prosperous area, enough food and clothing, a peaceful population, and the people live in a safe life. In accordance with the philosophy contained in the pattern of life of the people of West Java to be an inspiration in design. The overall picture of the design is Analogy of the West Java Region which has a rich cultural roof like julang ngapak and headband as an analogy to the characteristics of West Java society. Modernize the trails of buildings in the present and the placement of mass buildings in accordance with the pattern of society by taking the principle of building green architecture. Keyword: West Java Culture, MICEP, Julang Ngapak, Green Architecture. Tugas Perancangan Arsitektur Akhir ini adalah merancang sebuah Pusat Kebudayaan Jawa Barat, yang bertujuan untuk mewadahi kegiatan seni dan budaya dalam lingkup skala lokal, nasional dan internasional. Provinsi Jawa Barat memiliki potensi di bidang pariwisata dan budaya yang unik serta beragam hasil kreativif sehingga memerlukan tempat untuk Meeting, Incentive, Convention, Exhibition, Performing (MICEP) yang terintegrasi. Selama ini paradigma yang ada mengenai Pusat Kebudayaan yaitu sesuatu yang dianggap beku (frozen). Hal ini menunjukkan diperlukannya dinamika tradisi yang berdialog antara tempat, waktu dan wujud ruang yang ada. Landasan bagi pusat kebudayaan di Jawa Barat, dapat diambil gagasan/konsep local yang mendasari desain, tidak sekedar meniru aspek bentuk luar namun aspek yang lebih mendalam yaitu aspek filosofi seperti ruang, massa, dan bentuk. Bangunan harus mencerminkan jamannya sebagai wujud dialog tradisional ke modern, sehingga desain dapat mencerminkan gagasan modern saat kini namun juga semangat kearifan local, sehingga tercipta kesinambungan antara post-present-future. Konsep desain bangunan WJACC mengambil tema dari logo jawa barat, “GEMAH RIPAH REPEH RAPIH” yang mempunyai makna daerah yang subur makmur, cukup sandang pangan, penduduk yang rukun damai, dan rakyatnya hidup aman sentosa. Sesuai dengan filosofi yang terkandung pola kehidupan masyarakat Jawa Barat menjadi inspirasi dalam desain. Gambaran keseluruhan desain adalah meng-Analogi-kan Wilayah Jawa Barat yang memiliki kekayaan budaya atap seperti julang ngapak serta ikat kepala sebagai analogi ciri masyarakat Jawa Barat. Memodernisasikan julang ngapak terhadap bangunan pada zaman sekarang serta penempatan massa bangunan sesuai dengan pola masyarakat dengan mengambil prinsip bangunan arsitektur hijau. Kata Kunci : Kebudayaan Jawa Barat, MICEP, Julang Ngapak, Arsitektur Hijau.
