Abstract

Until now, humans still continue to develop more advanced technologies efficient and effective in their use, in the field of telecommunication technology, microstrip antennas are chosen because they are easier to integrate, can have two or more working frequencies and cheap manufacturing costs because they use PCBs. In addition to having advantages, microstrip antennas also have disadvantages that are relatively narrow bandwidth. This final project is to design a microstrip antenna substrate integrated waveguide cavity back slot antenna at a frequency of 7.76 - 8.09 GHz., The antenna works in the frequency range from 7.125 to 8.5 GHz with a bandwidth of 330 MH. Center frequency antenna is at 7.92 GHz with a return loss value of - 21.88 dB. The material used for antenna realization is RT / duroid 5880 with Ɛr = 2.2. Antenna design using ANSYS HFSS 2015 software to simulate it. While the antenna measurement is done at the Electronic Telecommunications Lab LIPI Bandung. The technique in designing this antenna uses the Substrate Integrated Waveguide (SIW) technique, with the development of a new technology called the Substrate Integrated Waveguide (SIW) which allows millimeter wave (mmW) waves at frequencies of 30GHz - 300GHz to work properly. Substrate Integrated Waveguide (SIW) is a new concept of a dielectric substrate for high frequencies that produces excellent performance. Hingga saat ini manusia masih terus mengembangkan teknologi yang lebih maju efisien dan efektif dalam penggunaannya, dalam bidang teknologi telekomuniukasi antena mikrostrip dipilih karena lebih mudah diintegrasikan, dapat memiliki dua atau lebih frekuensi kerja serta biaya pabrikasi yang murah karena menggunakan PCB. Selain memiliki kelebihan, antena mikrostrip juga memiliki kekurangan yaitu bandwidth yang relatif sempit. Tugas akhir ini merancang antena mikrostrip substrate integrated waveguide cavity back slot antenna pada frekuensi 7,76 – 8,09 GHz., antena bekerja pada range frekuensi 7,125 – 8,5 GHz dengan bandwidth sebesar 330 MH. Center frequency antenna berada pada 7,92 GHz dengan nilai return loss mencapai -21,88 dB. Bahan yang digunakan untuk realisasi antena adalah RT/duroid 5880 dengan Ɛr = 2,2. Perancangan antena menggunakan perangkat lunak ANSYS HFSS 2015 untuk melakukan simulasinya. Sedangkan pengukuran antena dilakukan di Lab Telekomunikasi Elektronika LIPI Bandung. Teknik dalam mendesain antena ini menggunakan teknik Substrate Integrated Waveguide (SIW), dengan berkembangnya teknologi baru yang disebut dengan Substrate Integrated Waveguide (SIW) memungkinkan gelombang milimeter wave (mmW) pada frekuensi 30GHz – 300GHz mampu bekerja dengan baik. Substrate Integrated Waveguide (SIW) merupakan konsep baru dari sebuah substrat dielektrik untuk frekuensi tinggi yang menghasilkan kinerja yang sangat baik.
