Abstract
Unconsciously, music is something important in our life, which over time continues to grow until the term appears that is Experimental Music, but the musical instrument for this type of genre is fairly minimal because the experimental music is still in the eyes of the eye by the layman but has special attention to them who go deep into music art. Therefore, a musical instrument is designed that is easy to play but has a unique value like other experimental musical instruments. The musical instrument that is designed is Bonang Goyang, which is an adaptation of Bonang which is a typical Indonesian musical instrument with the hope of being easier for the public to recognize as a musical instrument. Some experiments were conducted to find new timbre aimed at experimental music purposes. By doing this design, it is expected that many musicians will make and give more colors to the world of experimental music and do not rule out the possibility of being used for nonexperimental music, especially in Indonesia. Keywords: Instrument, Experimental, Percussion, Experimental Music, Experimental Musical Instruments, Bonang Goyang Tanpa kita sadari, musik adalah suatu kebutuhan dalam hidup kita, yang seiring berjalannya waktu terus berkembang hingga muncul istilah musik eksperimental, alat musik untuk jenis genre ini terbilang minim karena musik eksperimental masih di pandang sebelah mata oleh orang awam, namun memiliki perhatian khusus kepada mereka yang mendalami seni musik. Maka dari itu, dirancanglah sebuah alat musik yang mudah di mainkan namun memiliki nilai khas seperti alat musik eksperimental lainnya. Alat musik yang di rancang adalah Bonang Goyang, yang merupakan adaptasi dari Bonang yang merupakan alat musik khas Indonesia dengan harapan lebih mudah untuk di kenali oleh masyarakat sebagai alat musik. Beberapa eksperimen di lakukan guna mencari timbre baru yang di tujukan untuk keperluan musik eksperimental. Dengan dilakukannya perancangan ini, diharapkan banyak musisi yang membuat dan memberikan warna yang lebih kepada dunia permusikan Ekesperimental dan tidak menutup kemungkinan juga digunakan untuk musik non-Eksperimental khususnya di Indonesia.
