Abstract

Spinning industry or yarn spinning in the country is still difficult to develop. The causes are, among others, less competitive yarn products produced domestically than overseas spinning industry yarns, such as China and India. For example in the yarn spinning industry, especially in the Blending Cotton process, computerized systems have some weakness such as the difficulty of obtaining fast and accurate data to assist Top Management in making decisions and allowing minimal exploration of information. The author proposes to build Decision Support System with Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method on Blending Cotton process. Analitycal hierarchy Process (AHP) method is a decision-making method that can simplify and accelerate the decision-making process by solving the problems into its parts. This system will be implemented by using PHP programming language and MySQL database. The results of this research is a website based decision support system that is expected to help Top management to take decisions in the process of Blending Cotton. Keywords: Blending Cotton, Decision Making System, Analitycal Hierarchy Process,Spinning Industri spinning atau pemintalan benang dalam negeri masih sulit berkembang. Penyebabnya antara lain, kurang kompetitifnya produk benang yang dihasilkan di dalam negeri dibandingkan produk benang industri pemintalan luar negeri, seperti China dan India. Sebagai contoh dalam industri pemintalan benang khususnya pada proses Blending Cotton yang belum terkomputerisasi sistem memiliki beberapa kelemahan diantaranya sulitnya mendapat data yang cepat dan akurat untuk membantu Top Management dalam mengambil keputusan serta memungkinkan terjadinya eksplorasi informasi yang minim. Penulis mengusulkan untuk membangun Sistem Pendukung Keputusan dengan Metode Analytical Hierarki Process (AHP) pada proses Blending Cotton. Metode Analitycal hierarky Process (AHP) merupakan metode pengambilan keputusan yang dapat menyederhanakan dan mempercepat proses pengambilan keputusan dengan memecahkan perseoalan-persoalan kedalam bagian-bagiannya. Sistem ini akan diimplementasikan dengan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP dan database MySQL. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah Sistem Pendukung Keputusan berbasis website yang diharapkan dapat membantu Top management untuk mengambil keputusan dalam proses Blending Cotton. Kata Kunci : Blending Cotton, Sistem Pengambilan Keputusan, Analitycal Hierarki Process, Spinning.
