Abstract
This research aims to analyze the effect of working capital and leverage on profitability of agriculture company that listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange within 2012-2016. There are 13 companies fit the criteria of this research which are 10 plantation companies and 3 fishery companies. Data panel used in this research is analyzed by partial least square model. Method chosen is Fixed Effect Model. R-square ((R2) = 0.6620 which mean dependent variables (ICP, PDP, CCC, CR, and DTAR) are able to explain independent variable (ROA) by 66.2%, while 33,8% is explained by other factors out of the model. Then it can be concluded that ICP and DTAR have negative and significant effect on ROA hence company should minimize the ICP and DTAR, PDP has positive and significant effect on ROA hence company should lengthen the PDP then CCC and CR do not have significant effect on ROA. Company should calculate carefully what is the optimal ICP for inventory, optimal DTAR for leverage, and optimal PDP for payables. Keywords: ICP, PDP, CCC, CR, DTAR Penelitian ini membahas pengaruh modal kerja dan leverage terhadap profitabilitas perusahaan agrikultur di Indonesia yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia periode 2012-2016. Perusahaan yang diteliti sebanyak 13 perusahaan yaitu 10 perusahaan dari sektor perkebunan dan 3 perusahaan dari sektor perikanan. Data panel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini dianalisis dengan partial least square model. Metode yang terpilih adalah Fixed Effect Model. Nilai R-square (R2) = 0,6620 yang berarti bahwa variabel independen (ICP, PDP, CCC, CR, dan DTAR) mampu menerangkan varians variabel dependen (ROA) sebesar 66,2%, sedangkan 33,8% sisanya dijelaskan oleh faktor lain di luar model. Selanjutnya dapat disimpulkan bahwa ICP dan DTAR berpengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap ROA sehingga perusahaan hendaknya menjaga ICP dan DTAR yang minimum, PDP berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap ROA sehingga perusahaan hendaknya memperpanjang PDP, kemudian CCC dan CR tidak berpengaruh terhadap ROA.Perusahaan hendaknya menghitung dengan teliti berapa ICP yang optimal untuk persediaan, DTAR yang optimal sebagai pengungkit, dan PDP yang optimal untuk utang.
