Abstract

PT. XYZ is a distributor of analytical laboratory equipment, medical equipment and laboratory reagents that have warehouses located in Narogong, Bekasi. The problem faced is the absence of a systematic layout so the operator's distance and transport time becomes longer and bigger OMH. The purpose of research is to design the layout of the warehouse, thereby reducing the material handling distance, the worker's travel time, and calculate the total OMH. The dedicated storage method is the method by which the product is placed in a fixed storage location. There are two alternatives to the proposed layout of alternate 1 (dedicated storage throughput - based dedicated storage) and part 2 (part number sequence) alternatives. Therefore, the first alternative is chosen because it has a more efficient total distance, time and material handling cost. The calculation result of total displacement distance for the initial layout is 168,044,76m2/day, the first alternative is 130.633,65m2/day, and the second alternative is 148.244,41m2/day. Total transport time for the initial layout of 2800.75minutes/day, the first alternative of 2177,23minutes/day, and the second alternative of 2469.97minutes/day. Material forklift handling for the initial layout of Rp. 11,669,028/day, the first alternative is Rp. 9,071,201/day, and the second alternative is Rp. 10.292.703 / day. Material handling hand pallet cost for initial layout sebsarRp. 5,948,785/day, the first alternative is Rp. 4,695,232/day, and a second alternative of Rp. 5.247.145/day. XYZ merupakan perusahaan distributor alat analytical laboratory, medical equipment dan reagen laboratorium yang memiliki gudang penyimpanan berada di Narogong, Bekasi. Permasalahan yang dihadapi adalah belum adanya tata letak yang sistematik sehingga jarak tempuh operator menjadi lebih panjang, waktu angkut menjadi lebih lama dan OMH yang besar. Tujuan penelitian untuk merancang tata letak gudang, sehingga mengurangi jarak tempuh material handling, waktu tempuh pekerja, serta menghitung total OMH. Metode dedicated storage merupakan metode dimana produk ditempatkan pada suatu lokasi penyimpanan yang tetap. Terdapat dua alternative usulan tata letak hasil olahan kondisi alternatif 1 (dedicated storage throughput – based dedicated storage) dan alternatif 2 (part number sequence). Maka dipilih alternative pertama karena memiliki total jarak, waktu dan biayamaterial handling yang lebih efisien. Hasil perhitungan total jarak perpindahan untuk layout awal sebesar 168,044,76 m/hari, alternative pertama sebesar 130.633,65m/hari, dan alternatif kedua sebesar 148.244,41 m/hari. Total waktu angkut untuk layout awal sebesar 2800,75 menit/hari, alternatif pertama sebesar 2177,23 menit/hari, dan alternatif kedua sebesar 2469,97 menit/hari. Biaya material handling Forklif tuntuk layout awal sebesar Rp. 11.669.028/hari, alternatif pertama sebesar Rp. 9.071.201/hari, dan alternative kedua sebesar Rp. 10.292.703/hari.
