Abstract

Cultural center located in a capital of a province is a place that is expected to represent the identity and characters of the place. West Java itself has noble values embodied within the people from long time ago which is refrlected formally or informally in daily routine. West Java, in fact, is a province with complex plurality. Local wisdom in Sundanese tradition, such as silih asah, silih asuh, silih asih, is an important foundation in developing ideas behind it. The values that reflected in Pancasila and Bhinneka Tunggal Ika, democracy, gotong royong, are the noble values of Indonesia that must always be considered. In Pancasila, it is known that there are spiritual-religious values, humanism values, synergy values, democracy values, and social values. Responding the development of the era, the concept of “dialogue between culture and future” is a form of representation bridging the culture (past), the cultural center building itself (present), and the technology (future) in hope of creating a futuristic cultural center building that still pay attention to the values of West Javanese local wisdom Keyword:Art Center, Culture Center, Sundanese Culture Pusat kebudayaan di dalam suatu ibukota provinsi merupakan tempat yang diharapkan dapat merepresentasikan identitas atau karakter. Jawa Barat memiliki nilai-nilai luhur yang telah melekat sejak masa lalu baik yang tercermin secara formal maupun informal dalam kehidupan masyarakat. Jawa Barat juga merupakan provinsi yang memiliki pluralitas yang kompleks. Konsep-konsep lokal dalam tradisi Sunda, seperti silih asah, silih asuh, silih asih merupakan landasan penting dalam mengembangkan gagasan yang melatarbelakanginya. Nilai-nilai yang tercermin di dalam Dasar Negara-Pancasila, semboyan Bhinneka Tunggal Ika, Demokrasi, Gotong Royong, merupakan nilai-nilai luhur bangsa Indonesia yang juga harus selalu diperhatikan. Di dalam Pancasila dikenali adanya nilai-nilai spiritualitas-religius, kemanusiaan-humanisme, persatuan kesinergisan, demokrasi, dan sosial. Merespon kondisi perkembangan zaman konsep dialog antara kultur dan future ini merupakan wujud representasi yang menjembatani kultur (past), bangunan Pusat Kebudayaannya itu sendiri (present) dan teknologi (future). Dengan harapan terciptanya Pusat Bangunan Kebudayaan yang futuristic namun tetap memperhatikan nilai-nilai kearifan lokal yang ada. Kata Kunci: Pusat Seni, Pusat Budaya, Kebudayan Sunda
