Abstract

PT BBI is a company engaged in fibercement building industry, in its production PT BBI has 7 machine lines consisting of 4 corrugate machine that is Sheet Machine1, Sheet Machine2, Sheet Machine3, Sheet Machine4, and 3 flatsheet machine that is Sheet Machine5, Sheet Machine6 , and Sheet Machine7. In the production process often occurs a constraint arising from the engine damage due to lack of understanding of operators in the operation of the machine, as well as the occurrence of damage to the machine. This resulted in insufficient output results, resulting in low engine efficiency, especially in Sheet Machine machine line. Production Efficiency in August 2017 was only 79.33%, did not reach the target set by the company by 95%. To overcome the emergence of low engine efficiency is necessary to do research and observation to obtain the required data. Then do the analysis to find the cause of the occurrence of low efficiency that occurs especially on the Sheet Machine5 machine line as the object of research. This research uses OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) method to calculate Avaibility Rate, Performance Rate, and Quality Rate. Cause diagram (Fishbone Diagram) is used to find the root of the problem that is happening and determine the main cause of factors not achieving efficiency targets, on Sheet Machine5 machine line in PT BBI. The result of this research is to get root of problem that happened is high breakdown losses equal to 65,475% from whole machine downtime so low avaibility rate value equal to 86,56%, compared to world standard> 90%. The biggest downtime occurs in the Ball Mill machine unit, the silica treatment machine unit that causes the cessation of the machine and can not perform the production process. Required engine maintenance planning, supervision and active participation of all employees to maintain the readiness of the machine to make the production process. Implementation of preventive maintenance and autonomous maintenance needs to be increased in order to achieve level of performance efficiency in Sheet Machine 5 of 95% according to targets set by the company. Keywords: OEE, Engine Effectiveness, Breakdown, Fishbone Diagram PT BBI adalah sebuah perusahaan yang bergerak dalam bidang industri bahan bangunan fibercement, dalam produksinya PT BBI memiliki 7 lini mesin terdiri dari 4 mesin corrugate yaitu Sheet Machine1, Sheet Machine2, Sheet Machine3, Sheet Machine4, dan 3 mesin flatsheet yaitu Sheet Machine5, Sheet Machine6, dan Sheet Machine7. Dalam proses produksinya sering terjadi suatu kendala yang ditimbulkan mulai dari kerusakan mesin karena kurangnya pemahaman operator dalam pengoperasian mesin, serta terjadinya kerusakan pada mesin. Hal ini menyebabkan tidak maksimalnya hasil output yang dihasilkan, yang menyebabkan terjadinya effisiensi mesin rendah khususnya pada lini mesin Sheet Machine 5. Effisiensi Produksi pada bulan Agustus 2017 hanya sebesar 79,33%, tidak mencapai target seperti yang telah ditetapkan oleh perusahaan sebesar 95%. Untuk mengatasi timbulnya effisiensi mesin yang rendah tersebut perlu dilakukan penelitian dan pengamatan untuk mendapatkan data-data yang dibutuhkan. Kemudian melakukan analisa untuk mencari penyebab terjadinya effisiensi rendah yang terjadi khususnya pada pada lini mesin Sheet Machine5 sebagai objek penelitian. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) untuk menghitung nilai Avaibility Rate, Performance Rate, dan Quality Rate. Diagram sebab akibat (Fishbone Diagram) digunakan untuk mencari akar masalah yang sedang terjadi serta menentukan faktor-faktor penyebab utama tidak tercapainya target effisiensi, pada lini mesin Sheet Machine5 di PT BBI. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah mendapatkan akar masalah yang terjadi yaitu tingginya breakdown losses sebesar 65,475% dari keseluruhan downtime mesin sehingga nilai avaibility rate rendah yaitu sebesar 86,56%, jika dibandingkan dengan standar dunia >90%. Downtime terbesar terjadi pada unit mesin Ball Mill yaitu unit mesin treatment silika yang menyebabkan terhentinya mesin dan tidak dapat melakukan proses produksi. Diperlukan perencanaan pemeliharaan mesin, pengawasan dan peran serta aktif seluruh karyawan untuk menjaga kesiapan mesin melakukan proses produksi. Penerapan preventive maintenance dan autonomous maintenance perlu ditingkatakan agar tercapai tingkat performance efficiency di Sheet Machine 5 sebesar 95% sesuai target yang telah ditetapkan oleh perusahaan.
