Abstract

This research aims to test the comparative analysis for food and beverage with the banking sector in determining the dividend policy determinants of the Dividend Payout Ratio effect on the Cash Position, Return on Assets and Debt to Equity Ratio in the food and beverage and banking sec tor.The object in this research is food and beverages and banking sector that are listed in the Indonesia Stock Exchange (Bursa Efek Indonesia) that is obtained by 18 companies with the research period of 2009-2013 is drawn using a purposive sampling method. Methods of data analysis performed using regression calculation to test some of the influence the dependent variable to the independent variable.The result of the research shows that there is no impact on debt to equity to payout dividends ratio. The influential cash positon and retun on dividend pay out to asset ratio of banking companies and food and beverage.
