Abstract
Salah satu wilayah yang menjadi tekanan akibat urbanisasi di ibukota adalah wilayah Kota Tangerang Selatan yang saat ini memiliki fungsi sebagai penyangga DKI Jakarta di bidang permukiman penduduk. Fenomena ini membuka peluang bagi sektor swasta untuk membangun kawasan perumahan berskala besar berbasiskan konsep kota baru di sekitaran pusat kota, salah satunya adalah Bumi Serpong Damai (BSD City) yang sudah mulai dikembangkan sejak tahun 1984. BSD City merupakan salah satu kota satelit dari Jakarta yang ditujukan untuk menjadi kota mandiri, dimana semua fasilitas disediakan di kota tersebut mulai dari perkantoran, perdagangan, pendidikan, wisata, sekaligus perumahan (Hasyyati, 2012).One of the areas that became pressures due to urbanization in the capital is the city of South Tangerang, which currently has a function as a buffer Jakarta in settlements. This phenomenon opens opportunities for the private sector to build a large-scale residential areas based on the concept of the new city Nearby town center, one of which is the Bumi Serpong Damai (BSD City) that has been developed since 1984. BSD City is one of the suburbs of Jakarta is intended to be an independent city, where all the facilities are provided in the city ranging from offices, trade, education, travel, housing at the same time (Hasyyati, 2012).
