Abstract
ABSTRACT The correct calculation of standard production cost is absolutely needed by the company to compete in reaching the expected profits, so the purpose of the writer in making this research to show how a company sets its standard production cost and how to measure the efficiency of the production cost itself. The purpose of this research is to know how far a company sets the standard production cost and its influences to the efficiency of the company production cost. This research is done in descriptive metode and the data collection is made with literature and fieldwork metode, the data analysist used is quality and quantity descriptive. The conclution of this research is that the standard production cost set by the company in the year 2009 is different with the actual cost so it raised a deviation and the adverse deviation is effected by main material cost component and abide capacity; and the unefficient done by the management is in long bullion main material and grain trimming.
