Abstract

The web server is a server that has ability to manage and control the access to a web site that placed or stored on the server. The availability of a web server is an important key to retain loyal visitors by providing access and precise, fast and actual information. A web server sometimes may unable to serve requests from clients or become unavailable. Early information of this bad situation means a lot for a website administrator to fix the problem as soon as possible. There are many ways to monitor a web server, one of them is a simple technique called "polling techniques". It will send HttpRequest automatically to any web server that is registered and will receive HttpRespond of the web server. This simple method proved to be successful to determine the current state of the web server. Keyword: Server Web, Polling, Monitoring, HttpRequest, HttpRespond Server web merupakan sebuah server yang memiliki kemampuan untuk mengelola dan mengontrol akses ke sebuah situs web yang diletakan atau disimpan di server tersebut. Oleh karena itu ketersedian server web yang selalu dapat diakses merupakan kunci penting dari keberlangsungan situs web untuk tetap memiliki pengunjung setia. Dengan memberikan akses dan informasi yang tepat, cepat dan aktual. Ada saat dimana server web tidak dapat melayani permintaan dari klien atau menjadi tidak tersedia. Informasi dini ketika server web menjadi tidak tersedia menjadi sangat berarti sekali bagi seorang administrator situs web. ada banyak cara monitoring server web salah satunya dengan teknik sederhana yang disebut polling. Di sini teknik polling akan mengirimkan HttpRequest secara otomatis ke setiap server web yang didaftarkan dan akan menerima HttpRespond dari server web, cara sederhana ini terbukti berhasil untuk mengetahui kondisi terkini dari server web.
