Abstract

Seiring dengan cepatnya perkembangan teknologi membuat kebutuhan akan suatu informasi dan data semakin bertambah. Banyak perusahaan yang memilih teknologi informasi untuk mendukung bisnis perusahaannya. Penulis telah melakukan penelitian di sebuah perusahaan yang bergerak dibidang jasa dan jual beli mesin hitung uang. PT XYZ menginginkan membangun sebuah sistem web server dan database server yang terkomputerisasi dengan lebih mengoptimalkan penggunaan sumber daya server yang saat ini dimiliki. Berdasarkan permasalahan yang ada diatas, penulis merancang dan mengimplementasi sebuah topologi jaringan virtual server yang memungkinkan untuk lebih mengoptimalkan penggunaan sumber daya server. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah NDLC (Network Development Life Cycle) yang meliputi Analisis, Desain, Simulasi, Implementasi, Monitoring, Management. Hasil dari penelitian ini dirasa tepat untuk mengatasi permasalahan diatas. Dengan adanya virtual server ini, perusahaan dapat menekan biaya pembelian perangkat fisik komputer server dan lebih mengoptimalkan penggunaan sumber daya komputer server. By the time about the build of technology, it will increase the human needs of information and data. Many company choose technology for their business. The writer has already researched in a company that work about service and cash register. PT.XYZ wants to builds web server system and database server that computerized and take more optimize about server resource who their have. Based on the problem, the writer was designing and implementing a network virtual server topology may optimize that things. The writer using NDLC (Network Development Life Cycle) method that include analyze, design, simulation, implementation, monitoring and management. As the result, this system considered to solve the problem, with this virtual server system, the company can decrease their purchase cost of server hardware and increase about server resource.
