Abstract

Website become one of the favorite media to deliver information with numerous access from the whole world and it grows rapidly. Website offers many advantages over other information media such as wide users, interactive, and the availability of information. The growing of website is supported by the growth of computer network technology in this case is internet with its bandwidth and speed. As long as there is internet connection we can access or open websites at a any place and any time. Right now website is not only used to display a static information but by the innovation and creativity of the software developer created an application based on web technology with a special purpose of its organization who developed that application. In educational institute for example, building and using a web based application to support school activity and school administration like online student registration, elearning, and score reporting system which makes ease for teacher to input students’ score, edit, and print it in school using the computer with the application installed. Abstrak Website menjadi salah satu media penyampaian informasi yang paling banyak diakses di seluruh dunia oleh karena itu pertumbuhannya juga terus meningkat. Hal ini bukan tanpa alasan, website menawarkan kelebihan dibandingkan dengan media lain diantaranya kemampuan untuk menampilkan konten yang interaktif dan menarik, luasnya jangkauan pengguna, dan ketersediaan informasi. Perkembangan ini tidak lepas dari kemajuan dari teknologi jaringan internet dengan kecepatan transfer data (bandwidth) yang terus meningkat. Oleh karena website dapat diakses dimanapun dan kapanpun selama terdapat koneksi jaringan internet, hal ini dimanfaatkan oleh para pengembang perangkat lunak untuk menciptakan website yang tak hanya sekedar menampilkan informasi yang statis tetapi dengan fondasi kemampuan mobilitasnya maka dibangunlah aplikasi yang berbasis web dimana aplikasi yang dibuat dengan tujuan khusus. Di dunia pendidikan tak luput dari pemanfaatan teknologi ini dengan membangun aplikasi berbasis web yang dapat mendukung kegiatan belajar mengajar dan administrasi sekolah. Seperti registrasi siswa baru secara online, sistem pembelajaran jarak jauh (elearning), dan pembuatan laporan hasil belajar siswa berbasis web yang memungkinkan guru melakukan pengisian nilai secara online di dalam lingkungan sekolah.
