Abstract
Laboratorium komputer Fasilkom yang ada di Universitas Mercu Buana adalah salah satu bagian yang sangat berperan penting dalam program pembelajaran di Fakultas Ilmu Komputer, agar dapat memudahkan petugas laboratorium dalam melakukan pengecekan status komputer dilakukan proses sistem monitoring yang dimana aplikasi ini berguna untuk memonitoring status komputer dengan memanfaatkan jaringan LAN / WLAN. Sistem monitoring laboratorium ini dibuat untuk memudahkan petugas laboratorium dalam melakukan pengecekan status komputer pada laboratorium untuk mengetahui kondisi komputer dalam keadaan aktif / tidak akitf serta memonitoring penggunaan aplikasi pada komputer sehingga petugas dapat mengetahui aplikasi apa saja yang sedang digunakan oleh pengguna komputer pada laboratorium komputer Fasilkom dan petugas pun dapat mengendalikan komputer dari jarak jauh seperti shutdown atau restart komputer tersebut, dengan syarat harus terhubung dengan koneksi jaringan yang sama. Dengan adanya sistem terkomputerisasi ini diharapkan mampu untuk meningkatkan kualitas informasi yang dihasilkan seperti kecepatan dan ketepatan waktu, memelihara integritas data dan mempermudah pengorganisasian data. Aplikasi ini menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP dan MySQL sebagai database-nya. Sedangkan dalam melakukan perancangan sistemnya menggunakan metode perancangan waterfall.
