Abstract

The development of Inforamtion Technology is getting faster and easier by using internet. Thus all information can be received anywhere anytime as long as connected to internet. All problems that happen is about thesis guidance still done by manually and wasting the papper. To solve those problems, so writer will make web based Online Guidance Application using codeigniter framework which designed to assist lecturers and college students in consulting thesis and saving papper. This thesis made by using waterfall method, PHP programming language and MySQL as a database management system. Keyword : web application, codeigniter, thesis consulting. Perkembangan teknologi informasi saat ini semakin pesat dan mudah karena dengan adanya internet maka semua informasi bisa didapat dimana saja, kapan saja selama terhubung dengan jaringan internet. Permasalahan yang muncul yaitu Asistensi atau Bimbingan Tugas akhir masih dilakukan secara manual dan pemborosan dalam pengeluaran kertas. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, maka penulis akan membuat Aplikasi Bimbingan Online berbasis web dengan menggunakan framework codeigniter yang dirancang untuk membantu Dosen dan Mahasiswa dalam melakukan aktifitas bimbingan tugas akhir dan penghematan pengeluaran kertas. Tugas akhir ini dibuat dengan menggunakan metode waterfall, bahasa pemrograman PHP, dan menggunakan Basis Data MySQL. Kata Kunci : Aplikasi Web, Codeigniter,Bimbingan Tugas Akhir.
