Abstract
Mobile technology is growing rapidly. It can be seen that many innovations in mobile devices, both hardware and software technology.Mobile devices at this time supports the activities, especially for someone with high mobility. However, chance to loosing the mobile phone also greater because the high mobility of user. While, the chanceto rediscover the mobile phone or the data on the missing phone is very small. This research will generate the mobilephone tracking application via SMS based on android. The method is using Rapid Application Development (RAD). Consists of business modeling, data modeling, process modeling, application development and testing. The Scenarios are when the thief replacedthe SIM card with a new card then the mobile phone will send an SMS information to the owner by the number that has been put in the program. The SMS contains of the new number of the missing phone then the owner can send command to perform tracking by sending an SMS to the thief number.Therefore,user can find the location of the missing phone throught latitude and longitude coordinates from the GPS or information cell based Cell Global Identity (CGI). Keywords: Android, SMS, GPS Tracking, Cell Global Identity Teknologi mobile saat ini berkembang dengan pesat. Terlihat dengan banyaknya inovasi yang dihadirkan untuk perangkat mobile. Mulai dari teknologi perangkat keras maupun perangkat lunaknya. Peran perangkat mobile saat ini sangat dibutuhkan dalam menunjang aktivitas seseorang, terlebih lagi untuk seseorang dengan mobilitas yang tinggi. Namun, tingginya mobilitas pengguna maka peluang terjadinya kehilangan semakin besar juga. Sementara peluang seseorang untuk menemukan kembali ponselnya ataupun data yang ada pada ponsel yang hilang sangatlah kecil. Pada penelitian ini akan dihasilkan aplikasi pelacakan ponsel melalui SMS berbasis android yang dapat memberikan informasi keberadaan ponsel yang hilang tersebut. metode yang digunakan ialah metode Rapid Application Development (RAD) yang terdiri dari pemodelan bisnis, pemodelan data, pemodelan proses, pembuatan aplikasi dan pengujian. Skenario pada saat terjadi kehilangan adalah pencuri mengganti kartu SIM dengan kartu yang baru maka ponsel akan mengirimkan SMS informasi mengenai nomor yang menggunakan ponsel yang hilang ke pemilik ponsel sebenarnya dan pemilik ponsel dapat mengirimkan perintah untuk melakukan pelacakan dengan mengirimkan SMS ke nomor pencuri tadi. Kesimpulan yang didapat adalah pengguna dapat mengetahui keberadaan ponsel yang hilang melalui koordinat berupa latitude dan longitude dari GPS atau pun berdasarkan informasi Cell Global Identity (CGI) yang dikirimkan ponsel yang hilang.
