Abstract
The high frequency of downtime on the L01 laser machine has reduced production effectiveness. Machine Performance was evaluated using the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) method, while Six Big Losses and Fishbone Diagram analyses were applied to identify production losses and their root causes. The results showed an Availability Rate of 83.42%, Performance Rate of 95.00%, and Quality Rate of 99.14%, resulting in an OEE value of 78.42%, which is below the 85% standard established by the Japan Institute of Plant Maintenance (JIPM). The Six Big Losses analysis identified Breakdown Losses (35.83%) as the largest contributor, followed by Idling and Minor Stoppages Losses (24.05%) and Reduced Speed Losses (22.48%), with a cumulative contribution of 82.36%. The Fishbone analysis indicated that component failures and suboptimal preventive maintenance were the main causes. Improvements are proposed through the implementation of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), including Autonomous Maintenance, Planned Maintenance, and Education and Training. Keywords: Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), Six Big Losses, Fishbone Diagram, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Laser L01 Machine.
